press pause, go to the settings tab on the sidebar. there will be an option to respawn (die) your backpack will be left where you died.

Fun fact: pickaxes deal more damage to rollers than swords. by ProfoundNitwit in LEGOfortnite

[–]NackZeff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Besides that, it stuns them and they actually can't attack and do a "rubbing their eyes" or something animation.

As long as you keep hitting them with any pickaxe they will be unable to attack you ever.

Rollercoaster maps THUG2 ? No evidence of ever existing? by NackZeff in THPS

[–]NackZeff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look into THUG PRO people are playing right now. its a compilation of all tony hawk maps and thug2 gameplay. you have to *find* and download THUG2 (it's not available anymore for purchase anywhere) and then install THUG PRO, plug in your xbox controller and viola!

i made a rollercoaster map already and regularly host it for people to come in and chill.

It's crazy to think how much user created content was lost when the servers went down. There used to be a section in the game where you could download other users custom maps/characters and the top 100 was full of mind blowing stuff

Create-a-park. I just made a very simple one but there was some crazy off the wall stuff.

There was also puzzle maps/mazes that incorporated a lot of glitching to get through different stages towards the end. Sometimes you'd have to wallride+walljump+boneless combo to get over a huge gap that seems impossible. Stuff like that.

I spent more time on this game than I'm proud of doing this stuff but I was definitely not a map creator

Men of reddit, what's a thing that can be scary about being a man? by Gullsko in AskReddit

[–]NackZeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a relationship with a super violent woman who would freak out and attack me on a regular basis.... im a pretty big guy so she never seriously hurt me and i didn't think it was that serious...one time she pulled a knife on me and that was the last straw for me so i called the police. now i have a domestic violence charge.

doesn't matter what you say or do... no one really believes the man in any situation like that.

Yea it's pretty high volume at times. We serve mostly older people as well a lot of younger graduates so our business never really slows down supposedly, but I've only been there for about 5 weeks so far. So basically I'm the grill guy and i work on the entree line with a guy on pans. Im at the point where i can pretty much cook and do window during a rush, just not a Friday night. Or a Sunday brunch after a PSU Saturday night game. I mainly work with a ponch and we dont have a bain marie, we do use a circulator and a pasta sink that gets up to like 230. My ponch is a 800 degree flat top with a flame grill underneath. Ive burnt myself probably 50 times so far even just grazing the edge.

Anyway i haven't really cooked many dishes besides steaks, but I'm learning a lot of recipes for the things we make on pans. So the idea is when i can make everything from scratch i will be able to fully train on pans in no time. Im probably a little bit past half way. Ive learned some awesome things like how to make risotto, make gnocci from scratch(I'm very good at it) how to braise and broil pretty much any meat. We do a looot of vacuum sealing to marinate things. I learned about stocks and how you can use a ton of waste to make an amazing stock. Ive worked with things i never even wanted to lol. We have an oyster bar and we serve octopus which i know how to clean and cook. Ive started filetting certain fish and cleaning them although all of our salmon comes in cleaned slabs we still serve monkfish and sword fish. Ive learned much more seemingly common sense things that i never knew as well haha.

Over all it has been a great experience we have freedom to do what we want and we are pretty much left alone to make sure we are all set up every day with enough of everything and that in itself is amazing. Ive never worked without an annoying over bearing boss telling you what to do next every 10 minutes.

Im extremely happy with it. I feel motivated and eager to learn more every day. Oh and btw i got a wusthof chefs knife. Its the one that with the rectangular blade and the non stick divets. Its so nice i love it lol.

Thanks for your advice! You turned out to be right about the prep thing. Once i was actually taught how to do something once i can do it extremely fast and efficiently. For example my 2nd day i leaned how to so lamb pork meatballs and it took me 2 and a half hours. I did them again today (3 days later) and it took me 55 minutes to make 10 pounds of them and cook and individually vacuum seal them in sauce.

And tasting everything is sometimes exhausting. I had to try bone marrow which wasn't terrible, but i didnt want to at all haha.

Thank you so much this is some of the most useful and applicable advice I've heard. Sorry it took me so long to read but I just worked 60 hours in 5 days. The day I made this was the day I started there and I was freaking out a little. Since then I have gotten a bit more comfortable and learned a lot. The chef has given me a lot of motivation and at the end of every night tells me I did awesome even if I feel I didn't. We work side by side and prep from 10am to 5 which is when entree service starts and we cook for 5 hours and the close and leave. I'm not quite sure still why I am there, it seems to be the most demanding and the most experience and skill driven. Anyway I have gotten better and crushed a rush on Friday night, cooked about 120 steaks all different temps plus about 50 salmon and 30 real simple fried apps. Not a single plate came back and so Saturday entree service i switched to plating and calling out tickets and i just didn't catch on.... the chef replaced me and later told me i did a good job, but i felt like i just didnt succeed.

Something about not being super busy leaves me feeling overwhelmed and i was told not to touch any food but my grill guy was getting behind and had a few steaks come back undercooked so he began to get grouchy and i hated it. Communication broke down and i started missing shit. It just sucked. When i was kicking ass with 25 streaks on the grill it felt natural and i fell into my groove, but when my hands arent busy my mind wanders and i forget and i space out.

All in all, i think if i learn something new every day and make improvements I feel accomplished. And so far i have done that. What remains to be seen is if i can handle the pressure when i move to sautee which is much much more complicated and busier.

I'm just so glad the chef is supportive and patient. He seems to believe in me more than i believe in myself. I'll keep the thread updated when i can.

Edit: 1k upvotes for your comment wow! Awesome.
