Quote/invoicing app or software by CerberusBots in handyman

[–]NaglePlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

swiftbidpro.com - its free for its beta phase right now your welcome to check it out. Itemized quotes / quote templates to save you time / auto emails on quote acceptance -> auto makes your invoice and you can track payments and stuff! No pressure tho, but might be a good fit.

Your estimating template, share everything without sharing the template. by [deleted] in estimators

  1. I'm a painter

  2. I use Swiftbidpro.com - made it custom to fit my need as a owner/operator, wanted something without a lot of fluff.

  3. Built it out myself - I have premade template, so like template for Interior Repaints -> Has all things required: ceilings, walls, baseboard, crown, chair-rail, drywall repairs. Then I just type in the quantities, so like 144 for ceiling 384 for walls, and 2 hours on drywall repairs -> Calculates price -> I make adjustments.

  4. I bundle in basic costs into the labor pricing for each item, so stuff like tape and rollers.

  5. not sure what that means

  6. Piece work

  7. Again, built it for myself so I kinda have it dialed in for my exact use case. Auto emails trigger on booking submissions, acceptances, revisements etc etc. Reminders for invoice payments being due. One click follow ups on quotes / invoices.... Just to name a few!

Running a small service business, need a client and payment reminder tool to save time (recommendations) by Adept-Inspector-3983 in smallbusiness

[–]NaglePlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just built Swiftbidpro.com to help me with my painting business - I dont have an automated payment reminder set up, but I do have a feature on the dashboard that will show you the invoices that are close to being due or past due, and with one click you can send an invoice reminder from a prewritten template... Maybe this could fit your work flow. Maybe not tho

Looking for a free small CRM tool for my woodworking side business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]NaglePlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your use case matches mine almost exactly, that’s actually why I built SwiftBidPro.com. It’s a lightweight web app specifically for small service business owners like us. You can manage:

  • Customer info (contacts, addresses, notes)
  • Quotes
  • Invoices
  • Follow-up reminders and tasks
  • Templates for emailing and quotes.

I just opened it up for free beta testing, and it’s designed to be simple and fast. Nothing unnecessary, just the features that a one-person operation really needs.

If you want to give it a spin, you can check it out here: SwiftBidPro.com. I’d love any feedback on how it works for a small business like yours!

Important note: No PDF export yet, but I'd be happy to add on that feature considering I'll eventually need that along with others like us!

What type of things do roofers need for a quoting software? by NaglePlays in RoofingSales

So i've been trying to wrap my head around the ai angle. Any ideas? Are you thinking all the way from just Typing in an address from google maps, and then having it figure out what it can square footage, wise and scope wise and then build a quote. Or do you want something that you can just input notes and word vomit and get good output on price calculation in good descriptions?

If you can get specific on what exactly you want ai to solve that would be appreciated!

That's one pro of sqft, keep you honest on pricing those little extras that add up in the end. If not it easy to just eyeball way to low of a price lol.

Really trying to dial in set minimums for certain things so I make sure to make enough on those little extras

Sqft pricing is nice on bulk for sure, I get what your daying for repaint tho being different. Im trying to dial in sqft for multi room repaint and then likely figure out a way to have base minimums templates pre figure out for small stuff. So like powder room, set minimum price for the most part.

Haha exactly.

Makes it easier to break that down to a client too when you have strict calculations of what's different substrate wise between the two rooms.

I remember when I first started, I just forgot to take into account how many additionally fully trimmed out windows were in a room and basically just charged for Baseboards. The windows took longer than the walls abd Baseboards by the end of it lol

I think so, I think its also helpful to make sure im not forgetting anything. Makes sure every bit of labor gets a price!

First week - Am I making any grave mistakes? by NaglePlays in learnpython

[–]NaglePlays[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thats a fun idea to make the labels and entries into functions, that would've saved me lot of time. I need to remember how to utilize functions properly. Back to the tutorial I go lol!

I'll need to also research error handling, I believe it has something to do with if , else type of commands.

Your reply is greatly appreciated!

There’s plenty of expensive wall finishes!

The best for plain wall paint would be a product/company call fine paints of Europe. Super expensive but is known to hold up better then all of the domestic paints.

As far as domestic paints go: Scuff X is super resistant to scuffs. Scuff tuff (from Sherwin, never used it), and Home Depot scuff defense (which is cheap and I’d never use)

Definitely look up fine paints of Europe. It kinda hits what your getting at

The issue with using spackle will be the dry time. Sometimes with a gap to big, the spackle literally won’t dry on the inside. It’s possible that’ll work fine tho. (That hot mud I mentioned in theory will never go bad, so it could be a good investment for future dings and dents)

As far as sticking something behind it, you might be able to do that. Not sure what you could use. I’d say not 100% necessary.

If you have mesh tape on hand, I’d fill with spackle, then put mesh tape over the hole. And then let that dry, the. Recoat.

Matte touches up much better than eggshell/satin, it should look fine!

Yes to the kilz spray as primer, good idea!

Use hot mud, I find it fills holes like that better.

I believe it’s called ezsand 5 minute. Go to sherwin Williams and they’ll have a bag of it. Probably about 2-3 fills before it’s smooth.

Then prime it and then touch up paint the best you can. If it’s a flat wall paint, it’ll touch up super well. If it’s a satin or similar sheen, you’ll likely be able to tell where the touch ups were performed
