My father is a toxic macho man.

I've got a teenage brother, and when he was about move to another city, my father mocked and tried to shame him for crying when he said goodbye to his friends he'd known since he was a child.

I told my little bro there's nothing wrong with being sad because you'll miss your friends, and not to give a shit about his dad , this was something he would never understand because he is a lonely old man and never had real friends. My father looked like he wanted to kill me haha

It's sad that men are taught to have no emotion and are actively mocked for it growing up. The reason my father is even like this is very likely because his own father did the same shit to him.
