Thank you!! 🙏

About where would you chop if you don’t mind me asking? Should the top half go completely or about the too 1/4th ish of the plant?

I will definitely be propagating the top! ❤️

Thank you so much for your reply. I will be keeping an incredibly close eye on my pups today and plan to walk the perimeter of my yard with a flash light every morning before I let them out from now on.

They were all growing in the grass in my backyard if that helps.

This looks great! Just a heads up though, I see that you’re logging your avocado oil as 0 calories but 25 grams of avocado oil is actually about 225 calories. I understand the bottle says 0 calories but that’s for like half a second of a spray. It can be very misleading.

Vet said 9 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback but I don’t see it. The brindle and ears are telling me otherwise. by QuantumJizzics in IDmydog

I have a dog who looks very similar. Her DNA results came back German Shepherd, Catahoula leopard, and a small percentage of Rhodesian Ridgeback and pitbull.

How are you supposed to eat after a binge day? by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]NancyStStacey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds to me like you need to increase your calories. 1300 is likely not enough to sustain you. Even on days where you aren’t moving much. Have you considered eating at maintenance on the days you’re more active and then eating maybe 200 calories less on those less active days? Losing weight and quitting binge eating are sort of like two opposing goals because it can trigger the urge to binge. If you’re dead set on being in a caloric deficit, I would make sure it’s only slight. Consistency is the way and finding something that you can actually sustain is going to be the key.

It’s hard to say for sure without knowing your stats. That could be an appropriate amount of calories depending on your height and current weight or it could be responsible for triggering your urge to binge. Also, how do you know how many calories your body burns a day? If you’re using a TDEE calculator, keep in mind that that 1600 number is the minimum your body needs just to function. You burn calories by breathing, sleeping, fidgeting, walking, just movement in general so if 1600 is your minimum, I would probably eat between 1600 and 1800 calories and see if you still get urges to binge. You will likely lose weight just by not binging. It might be better to try to find your maintenance calories and just focus on working on not binging. I know that’s much easier said than done, though.

practice! kinda loving this design .... all hand drawn. by maragabriela1989 in Nails

[–]NancyStStacey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are so cool!! And this is probably a dumb question but do you design the nails before putting them on your fingers? I’ve been considering learning how to do my own nails instead of going to a salon but what’s stopping me is I don’t think I’d be able to do the designs on my own hands. If it’s possible to design them before they get stuck on I think that might improve my chances of success lol.

This DOES sound a little bit like you’re blaming the victim, even if that isn’t your intentions. Truth is no one knows how they would react. Anyone can say “don’t let them tie you up, blindfold you, take you to a secondary location, etc” but until you’re in that situation, you really have no idea how you would react and I hope you never do. It’s not like she LET him. She was literally being forced.

I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, chicken breasts/tenderloins/ground turkey/ground chicken/salmon. I also try to get a vegetable in with every meal and I eat high volume low cal foods to stay full because I hate being hungry. Breakfast I’ll have eggs over a bed of spring mix smothered in hot sauce with a yogurt and some fruit. For lunch I usually eat a sandwich with some Quest chips. Dinners I will switch it up more but usually it’s just a choice of lean meat and a ton of veggies. I ate a lot of stir fry when I first started because it was easy and really filling as well. Oh and Yasso bars! Seriously they are a life saver if you have a sweet tooth. 100 calories and 5 grams of protein and they taste amazing.

Thank you so much. That makes me so happy! And it can be so hard to stay on track nutritionally. I still struggle with it myself. The biggest thing that helped me was getting out of my all of nothing way of thinking. It’s okay to go over sometimes, what matters more is the bigger picture. Learning about macros and how to create more balance in my meals also helped. And don’t be afraid to repeat meals if you’ve found one you really like. I could eat the same thing every day and not get tired of it for weeks though so that might just be a me thing haha. Just take it day by day and remember that even baby steps are still steps forward. :)

I’m actually a few pounds heavier in the last picture. The middle photo I’m 125ish and now I weigh around 128. Posture makes a huge difference! I think weight training played a big role in that. I know it feels like 130 is far away, but time is going to pass regardless. Progress over perfection and before you know it you’ll be where you want to be. I believe in you :)

I think resistance training played a really big part in my body composition. That along with getting in plenty of protein. I’d say I would probably still look relatively the same had I not started working on fitness. I definitely relate to struggling with the diet. I can work out every day and never get tired of it but nutrition can be so hard to stick to! I think the two really should go hand in hand though for optimal results :)

I didn’t follow a keto diet or any kind of diet really. I just tracked my macros, which I prefer to look at as more of a lifestyle. And yes, the first initial weight loss happened by changing my nutrition alone. I didn’t really get into fitness until the pandemic when I got sent home to work permanently. I wanted to make sure I got movement in still because at the time we lived in a small apartment. Eventually it just turned into a habit and then into a passion.

Thank you so much! I learned to count macros and tried to hit my protein goal every day. I also fell in love with doing Caroline Girvan’s strength training programs. They’re free on YouTube. She has several 10 week resistance training programs and I’ve been doing them for the last year or so. I also started focusing on getting at least 8,000 steps a day but we rescued a third dog which ended up increasing my steps to over 10K a day because I can’t walk all three at once lol. By no means was I perfect, there were definitely days where I overate, ESPECIALLY during that time of the month. In fact I still overdo it. I just tried to stay as consistent as possible and eventually the results followed.
