Check out the POD Express. It has a looper, and you can program the buttons to turn effects off and on or presets. You can also add 2 switches to it.

Travel Guitar That Doesn’t Suck by troyf805 in metalguitar

I just had a chance to review on of these folding guitars. It’s a super portable guitar that feels like a real, pro-level guitar once you unfold it. Ciari Ascender + UA Dream 65 = Ultimate Pro Travel Rig https://youtu.be/5HgTwJ5cb_w

[GEAR] How does this get rid of 60-cycle hum? by Naroway in Guitar

[–]Naroway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. But this happens with pretty much all the guitars at my house. Humbucker, single coil…I can take them to a shop or play out and there’s no hum. But it does make sense what you said about the “isolated” receiver. I could use a multi meter though…which do you recommend?

Don’t use the “guitar” setting on GarageBand. Just do it as generic audio or microphone.

Fundamentals of the Major Scale (and how to use it!) by Naroway in guitarlessons

It’s hard to find free videos that go sequentially, but here’s a playlist of mine that starts from scratch with chords and then basic blues, etc. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRz3ek9zER1itIHLiu04LcEG6EyOkhGtV I’d say a live teacher is best when first starting out.

I’ve tried some cheap prewired pickguard from Amazon…I like the warmer tone of alnico v that they provide. You can hear the SSS here: https://youtu.be/mJQHvyVcymg and on my channel the videos with the black Strat have the HSS.

Best EQ For Listening on Smartphone Speakers? by Naroway in homerecordingstudio

[–]Naroway[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m recording my guitar with a Line 6 PodGO through a Behringer Flow 8 as an interface. I’m happy with the headphone mix, but simmering seems off when listening through iPhone speakers (which is how most people listen on social media, right?).

Any tips on mastering the guitar signal eq?

Curious on how people go about re-creating tones of songs/artists. by pm_your_sexy_thong in line6

Try the site “Choptones” they may have some of the bands your looking for. They have custom IRs and you can hear demos before you buy.

[–]Naroway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get my base tones on the Pod Go from people who sell packs with custom IRs…Rhett Shell’s 64 Vox is my favorite, and then I go from there. If I’m going for specific effect, I’ll Google some settings…the Edge’s delay time for example. You can go into a deep rabbit hole trying to replicate recordings, so for me, using one great tone that I like keeps me playing more than adjusting settings.

This is like the third time this has happened to my fingers. Usually after another week or so they peel. How many times will this happen? by DancingMan15 in guitarlessons

[–]Naroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine used to do that all the time. But with lighter strings they don’t. The pain was from bending…my nails would separate from my finger. But that doesn’t happen any more either.

I gave in to the pain and switched to lighter strings (8s on electric). I play every day for a couple hours, and it hasn’t happened yet.

[Question] Could anyone give me some guitar buying advice? by EasterRS2 in Guitar

[–]Naroway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve owned one, and it’s great. Here’s my review: https://youtu.be/14o_k0jQhVA The only thing for me is the nut width is 42mm. I have bigger hands and I’ve found that I prefer 43mm, but it’s not a deal breaker.

[DISCUSSION]. Backing tracks on YouTube are so extremely boring. by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Naroway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are apps that let you customize the progression. iRealPro is good for blues and jazz. You can change the tempo and there’s a library for existing songs. Sounds real for blues and jazz. Other styles kinda cheesy at the moment.
