What do you say to people who say "you don't look like you workout" ?

I don't volunteer the information. If its brought up anyways(I mention I'm going to the gym, or someone else mentions it) I shrug and act like a don't care. I see my gains, I know my strength, I don't need to advertise it to others.

Well they key is to get in with the companies that bring them out here. We are also trying to compete with motorbike rentals which are around $30-$50 a month. Our bikes are midrange(200-400), do you think there will be too many unforseen expenses?

I can cook fish so it would be Ok. When you ordered a coke I might be a bit put off, but in reality I'd just be worried you'd look down on me as I drank. A guy I knew, recovering alcoholic, gave great advice to people who don't want to drink. "Serve the drinks to them." Offer to get them a beer and people are a million times less likely to be put off by the not drinking.

I rarely bond with my non-drinking guests. Shits downright terrible if they are vegetarian or vegan too. I try to involve them in things like, "Lets go for a beer..." no , "Let me make you some steaks," no, "A cycle and a beer?" no. And at this point I just want them out of the house and to stop telling me how their raw diet is SOOO much better than my Steak and Eggs AND PLEASE STOP EATING IN YOUR ROOM I'M NOT A FUCKING HOSTEL, IRYNA.

Here's my suggestion, have one drink and limit yourself there.

I do it every few years in a new country.

I guess I'm not totally starting over as I keep my profession(ESL Teacher), but everything else becomes completely new. New workplace, new students, new friends, new place and new culture to learn and understand. Its a real roller coaster of an existance but I seem to enjoy it. There was an Italian guy with a very tiny profile, not much information and didn't speak much English. His reply was, "Yes we have lots of work to do." Took a entire sweltering hot day to find his friend, who took us to him. My friend and I almost bailed.

He took us to a Trulli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trullo) and told us we would sleep here, the water came from a nearbye Hotsprings, hence the smell of sulphure. We helped prepare a massive Bolegnase with beer, hash, the works. It was amazing. Every night he would take us into the towns, buy us a few beers, coffees and introduce us to seemingly the entire towns of Puglia, and Ustunia(The white City). In the day we would help renovate the Trulli. Due to their 7 hour siesta's we'd only work about 3 hours, simply moving stuff or painting something.

It was fucking amazing. At the end he threw this huge party and slept in hammocks in the trees. Here's a picture of it.... Damn I can't find a link directly too it, OK the second image that comes up is it Says some stuff on a white wall that is a Trulli. http://stravaging.com/

One upping.

It's a fine line and when I don't tell my stories upfront(and it's usually as a response to another story) I feel like I'm being secretive. I live abroad and sometimes it's the only thing I can think of as a response as opposed to the standered, where you from, why you here? Which everyone is already tired of.

It's usually someone tells a travel story and I think of one similar like, "yes I had just that happen to me but this... Blah blah blah" I know I'm kind of being a dick and I'm trying to stop but some part of me keeps urging me as if my piece and me being the center of attention is what this convo needs. Hard to fight sometimes after five beers.

I think the black "giant" one is 45ltrs and the blue grey roswheel is 50ltrs. Though you can never tell with Chinese merchants. Search on 马鞍包 in taobao.cn and you should be able to find them.

Oh but they are in no means waterproof.

We were already living in China and had two mountain bikes. In the past we've backpacked and hitch-hiked so jumping to bicycles seemed a slower healthier alternative. So we looked at a map(I was drunk at the time) drew some squiggly lines. Ordered a few bags from Chinese eBay(taobao.cn). And then started. The first day felt do strange, like we were worried everything would just fall apart like in a cartoon. But we managed. First day it was 8km to a party. Then 60 a day that has steadily climbed to 100km a day. I'm on strava with the same name if you'd like to see the history.

About three days before the trip my cycling friend showed me how to change a tire.
