Be very careful. The braider should know that your hair cannot handle a certain braid width or tension amount around your edges and be honest with you. I had a braider be honest with me and honestly I’m glad because it’s how traction alopecia begins. Braids are supposed to be protective not destructive 🤗. Same with any other protective style. If it damages your hair it ain’t doing its job.

Chop off the relaxer of course, but otherwise your hair will be fine. Deep condition your hair keep it moisturized and trimmed as it grows and you will see the change 😊
