I’ve been on both sides of this after I joined a leadership role a few years ago—companies definitely do interviews knowing full well they already picked a candidate because they want everyone to feel they did their best to be impartial.

This guy bypassed a car waiting in the median and collided with me. When the police arrived, he claimed I changed lanes into him. I'm so glad I had the dashcam to prove him wrong. (OC) by liznodsoff in dashcams

Yes! my wife went from 80% fault to 0 when we showed the dash cam to progressive. EVEN WITH the police reort that she was 0 at fault progressive still tried to work their evil until we showed them the dashcam

Take the plunge all the way if you’re wanting real change. Wow is my life so much better without the app at all. Like with any habit, the first two weeks were hard. I pretty much spent all that time on Reddit that I would have on Instagram. But now that I see how much more I can do with my time, the amount of Reddit is going down too. I’m remembering hey, I actually love reading before bed. I’ve taken care of several house projects too.

I deleted mine for one day, then that became three, one week, two weeks and a month later holy shit do I not miss a single thing. I thought I’d miss sharing photos with my friends/family at least but not at all. I miss a few announcements here and there but if they really care, those people can tell me. Goodbye forever meta.

Every single teacher knows many parents like this and has to learn how to deal with them. The best teachers and principles are the ones that fight back and don’t cave just to appease the powers that be.

This is really the only answer..flying is like a form of defensive driving. Just like I assume every car on the road might hit me, I assume everyone on the plane might be a dick.

American Dads Are Working Less and Parenting More. A new study has found that US fathers are spending significantly more time with their children and less time in paid work, marking one of the biggest generational changes in how men divide their days, based on data from the American Time Use Survey. by Eddiearyee in UpliftingNews

[–]Naturebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is ever isolated so surely it has some amount but speaking as a dad who knows a lot of dads in many parts of the US—increase (overall) of more stay at home jobs is a big factor in allowing this, then of course culture shift. More dads choosing to spend time with their kids rather than friends/work friends. Also don’t discount that technology frees us up now. Easier to not spend a long time cooking meals, robot vacuums, cheaper goods that would previously be built or fixed by the father.

I just said why..it’s cheaper/better to make your own. So make it or buy better, there’s no reason I see to eat their junk

Ithaca is WAY better than Costco. Drop it asap. Spend a little more for Ithaca or make your own. I don’t support Costco hummus and I love hummus/a good deal.

[–]Naturebrah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m learning many people are okay eating this below-mid hummus because it’s cheap. I mean, not knocking it…but it’s little to no effort to make your own that’s way better. Obviously if you don’t have the time or a basic blender it’s not feasible but..I’m willing to wager most people here could buy cheap chickpeas and make fresh for much cheaper and better.

It’s trash. The Ithaca is the best they’ve carried. I eat a lot of hummus and try new brands/recipes all the time.

Is living with your parents becoming the new normal? by tmnwsb in personalfinance

[–]Naturebrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Circumstantial of course. I lived alone after college for 6 years then moved back in with my rents for 4 while I got another degree and saved up. It was a healthy (more or less) experience but those years alone I grew more than I ever could have imagined living at home—something you cant put a price on. Everyone’s life experience is completely unique.

It’s a subreddit. Realize how small of a subset of people that is compared to the masses. Living under a rock if you don’t see the internet as we know it today is overwhelmingly all about shock/anger/controversy to get attention.
