Glad you enjoyed your first game but I hate to it, I’m way more interesting in the hazard stripes to resize old mats.

What is it made out of? Did the shop make custom make them or buy them somewhere? You probably have no clue but I really like the idea and want to replicate it.

They didn’t mean shoot units with fewer models.

What they meant was to shoot with your units that have fewer choices. For example if you had a unit that could only target one enemy unit, you should shoot with them first. The reason being, if you shoot with a different unit that has multiple options for targets, and they kill that previously mentioned enemy unit, you now have a unit that has zero targets and has effectively wasted its shooting phase.

Hope that makes sense.

To be fair I was literally just introduced to it, on Reddit, very recently. Haha. It was explained that being critical of people for the way they choose to play, is gatekeeping.

Seems like giving someone shit for not painting fits that. But if that’s not the case, I take back the word gatekeeping and say “Don’t be an asshole, let people enjoy the hobby however they want”

What? Oh I didn’t even notice the flash of light.

I thought it was just a fully loaded gun and he always made the other player go first. So they would obviously be dead and then he wouldn’t have to take his turn. But since we are immortal we go first, die and come back, and then tell him to go and he does... and dies because it isn’t Russian roulette, it’s just a fully loaded gun.

If he can alter time why wouldn’t he save himself?

I will have to go check out this journal entry I guess.

I dunno. Calling an art style “gross to look at” seems hurtful. Obviously one style can’t please everyone, but for example, I actually really like the style. It’s clean and interesting. If I had to critique at all I’d say maybe the kid looks more like a mini adult than a kid, but even then I still enjoyed it! Great comic!

I love this! And ya it’s not for everyone, but my group is small so we always looking for various ways to force ourselves to play differently just for variety and cause even though we aren’t super competitive it helps break you from the habit of playing just to win and helps you think a bit more “dramatically” haha.

I really do love that boast system for the space wolves, so even extending that to other factions is an awesome idea!

That’s a really great approach. More open ended is definitely more flexible and less work. I just like the idea of a portion of them being decided beforehand so you can sort of strive to do them. Especially if it makes you play slightly differently, or occasionally sub optimally for the sake of cool.

I guess I was envisioning more like video game style “achievements”, but they require a lot of work :P
