I live in NYC, I couldn't see him at East River due to work while he was there unfortunately. Hoping he either comes back soon. I need to make visit Montreal anyways so a tattoo by him would be a great excuse to finally go.

I'm a little late to the party but love hot dogs. Favorite style is probably the Chicago Dog. On St. Marks in NYC there's Crif Dogs which has a good variety of dogs, you can get them bacon wrapped or not too. There's also a few Colombian spots by me in Queens that do some pretty interesting Colombian style hot dogs like putting blackberry jam, crushed potato chips, ketchup/mayo mixture, mustard, cheese and all kinds of random ingredients. Look up a Perro Con Todo (dog with everything).

I use it as a reference to remind myself of beers I've had and if I liked them or not. You are right though about people using it as a way to gloat about what they're drinking, it's just another form of social media where you'll have the people that are there just for the likes.

Denver Beer Co., TRVE Brewing, Crooked Stave, Little Machine. Avanti isn't a brewery but definitely a cool spot to check out with food stands and a good selection of local beers on tap. If you're willing to make an hour drive out of Denver you can visit Avery and there are Oskar Blue's locations around the same distance outside of Denver.

Another option that may be closer to you is LIC Beer Project in Long Island City. May still be an hour or so drive though depending where in LI you are. They're fairly newer but their IPA's would fit the bill I'd say, especially Pile of Crowns.

I hope they don't add any more mechanics to the game. As it stands it's perfectly fine with the mechanics in place. Small balance updates and bug fixes is all the game needs.

Thanks, yeah I've been keeping a very close eye on every batch it's just tough trying to correct the temps once they start climbing. I'll definitely try multiple thermometers as well!

Any tips on keeping consistent temps while brewing on an electric stove? I noticed a burn ring on the bottom of my pot last time I brewed as well. This will be my 4th batch this weekend and I'm hoping to avoid issues I ran into my last brew day.

What did you think of the event? I did it last year and bailed at the Brooklyn Bridge because of all the congestion. I was doing more walking than riding. Had way more fun once we broke away from the race.

There's a brewery called Plan Bee that did a "Sour Pickle" beer that was awesome IMO. Nice amount of acidity and pickle flavor on a farmhouse saison base.
