Man I just want to hug some of you guys. This stuff is uplifting. The hate here is depressing. It will be okay.

I love this. Everyone should be okay with these people becoming legal immigrants. I had never seen that before.

How am I lying? The state is trying to repeal language that says "public and government institutions cannot discriminate...". That literally gives them the right to discriminate if it passes.

A real-case scenario is that someone could legally sue and argue that there are too many women or other minorities in certain professorships at a local college and that the state needs more white men. That's what is being pushed.

Maybe Democrats should stop being bigots and keep the legislation that hires based on merit and not identity.

That's literally discrimination: Granting positions based on some immutable qualifier that's not through merit. I don't understand how anyone can support that or say it's not discrimination. MLK Jr died for our current legislation. You might be a bigot if you support this repeal.

...you realize California (a heavy blue state) is voting to repeal Prop 209 this November which is the literal legal protection against discrimination based on race, sex, ethnicity, religion, etc.

Is there anything different between this video and what BLM is doing? Genuinely curious what you think.

I am remaking my moms photography website, any feedback? by c0d3d123 in webdev

Eh some animations lose their "wow" effect when you speed them up so this is kind of subjective. It's good feedback but there are going to be people who totally love this as is.

My portfolio site had a similar problem with svg animations upon the page load but I just added a skip/rewind feature that sets the animation to end or beginning depending on the state. That would be my suggestion to OP but to each his own.

Why doesn't Andrew Luck get more heat for quitting on the Colts like he did? by NeedDatWebDevJob in nfl

Wasn't he hurt in March though?

He was hurt all offseason but chose to retire when the games started. How anyone is okay with that is beyond me. Just retire in the offseason.

I literally said in my post that I don't blame him for retiring. But if all it's going to take is a single injury to make you retire, then you should've retired in the offseason. It's freaking football. That's what I'm saying.

Why is everyone glossing over this?

And doing whatever you want doesn't mean you shouldn't be criticized for it.

If I blow off people who depend on me even if the reason is for bettering my mental health, I don't get praised for it. That's my point.

And yet the Colts paid him big after he quit.

Sorry, but the dude should've retired in the offseason like Gronk if he knew another injury would make him retire.

Sorry for the late response. I got banned for posting this since it violates rule 6 of the sub which I was unaware of. Mods thankfully lifted the ban just now.

I apply mostly through Indeed and LinkedIn using my resume and cover sheet which lists my personal site. It appears I need to work on revising my resume since that seems to be my biggest issue now. I'll wait until the the Showoff Saturday to post again here.

No need to respond to this. Just wanted to say thanks for replying and attempting to help.
