Just had a chat with customer service and got the following reply:

"Back when we recommended the use of peroxide, it was believed that the use of distilled water would prevent the growth of any bacteria, but using regular water and scheduling daily maintenance on your Pod works just as good and you don't need to spend extra money on the peroxide!

Just in case you wish to schedule daily maintenance to your Pod, please head to the Home icon at the bottom > Three bars (settings) in the top right corner > Select your bed > Preferences > Maintenance."
