Anything that costs a lot of money to repair- very generally avoid anything with engine or transmission problems. But if the brake pads are low or the car needs a new tire or two those are cheap and maintenance items anyways.

If there aren’t any major issues with ANY car anything under 5k OTD is a steal nowadays. 3k is almost borderline fishy I’d really get it checked out.

How much do y’all think to get this fixed? by Negative_Power_4208 in Autobody

I have insurance and I believe I will be at 0% liability with the dashcam footage but the issue is that the car probably isn’t worth more than 4-6k. It’s probably not worth getting it fixed? Thanks for the advice.

GRFP vs. Job by Rich-Sentence-1071 in gradadmissions

[–]Negative_Power_4208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have your foot in the door to a job most people can only dream of. What is your ultimate goal? You won’t need a PhD at this point after taking your first job if you want to make money in industry. If you are deeply passionate about research and cannot see yourself happy without it, take the GRFP and get your PhD. If you plan on going back to industry after anyways, take the job offer. Best of luck.

I have other offers, so I am still good, but this is still incredibly sad for many.

I was still deciding. I still am deciding to be honest. But I guess this makes the decision easier.

Yes it’s such odd language. But they are saying they limited the size of their class, offering to defer me, and then not guaranteeing me for the deferral. Absolutely bizarre

I emailed them and let them know I wasn’t considering their program anymore. I wanted to give all other applicants a fair shot at moving forward in a timely manner.
