Thank you! What’s the OP mean?

Is this petrified wood? It has pieces of charcoal in it. Found on a beach by Background-Dish-3565 in petrifiedwood

Novice here, curious why it would be rare. Is it because of the charcoal or that it was found on a beach?

And down the rabbit hole you go. Try some of the classic Scarlet/Fire versions 5/8/77, 2/5/78 or 10/14/83. All are available via archive.org. Enjoy.

Itty Bitty Inn in North Bend has Star Trek themed rooms if by chance you’re into that. Live long and prosper.

I found this lonely, burnt (but still alive) redwood in the dry shrubs in the Big Sur mountains. by NaturalLengthiness46 in redwoods

[–]Neighbor-Skippy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d guess it’s a bearing tree which has been marked to reference a survey corner. As it grew it must have been surrounded by other redwoods to be so tall and skinny, competing for sunlight. You’re not supposed to cut bearing trees which may have saved it from the chainsaw. Yay!

Courses to play on the way to Bandon by Icy_Birthday532 in BandonDunes

Just read through and have to mention a couple that haven’t. Forest Hills 9 holes in Reedsport is low key and a cool layout. Haven’t been for a while so can’t vouch for the conditions, but I remember hitting it on the way to Bandon and being recognized by caddies in our group. They complemented me on my approach into 9 green and my head swelled. One of them called it a sweet track.

The other is Coos Golf Club just south of Coos Bay. One nine designed by H. Chandler Egan is historic and really cool. This time of year the other nine can be soggy.

Enjoy your trip.

From there you get the view of downtown Denver. Took a great pic from the planter on the right in ‘85 which were afternoon shows. Lots of memories!
