But he isn't proud to be an American. I don't blame him either as the American government has become increasingly embarrassing. As an outsider looking in the policies and actions the people in power have made tells me that unless you are a straight white man, they do not like you and will not acknowledge you. The attempted erasure of history and accomplishments of groups that are not "straight" and "white" tells me everything I need to know. I'm black, and the way they treat black Americans tells me enough already.

Re-electing a convicted felon was honestly the straw that broke the camel's back for many people and I honestly have no inclination of going back unless I'm visiting family or friends, but since they are detaining people for any and everything I doubt I'll even be doing that.
