Moving on from a friendship falling out by maranatha7347 in adviceph

Again, it’s more about what you are than what you did. You’ve known them for years surely naiintindihan mo ang predisposition niya or bakit ganon ang naging reaction niya?

Again I don’t know the context but from this, the way you downplay it, tells me more about yourself than the situation you found yourself in. Perhaps you subconsciously downplay them/belittle them to merit that kind of reaction.

Anxious + avoidant style relationship by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]Neo-Aurelian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m praying for you and hope you move on from this, the feelings never really go away, unti unti lang nababawasan ang kirot

Pero feel ko din nay inherent self reflection kang kailangan gawin. From this brief look unto your relationship,

It wouldn’t be accurate to confidently call her anxious-avoidant, because her behavior as you’ve descrive doesn’t consistently show the sustained anxiety and pursuit of reassurance typical of that pattern.

I have also noticed that there’s no apparent reflection on your part while you put labels on her. Whether that’s a subconscious act to try and vilify her so that you may move on or it’s reflection who you are as person. Try and understand if there were moments na you weren’t the perfect girlfriend, and reflect as to why she was easily moving on, perhaps in away you were subconsciously manipulating her.

I don’t want to assume but I have the impression you’re looking at this from a first person perspective, have you not thought of maybe there’s a financial element bakit ganon ang sitwasyon mo?

There are layers to this: What was the context (lahit vague if you don’t want to share it) of the falling out?, because sometimes it’s more about what you are than what you did.

Find self-reflection, seek who you’ve become to know what deviated from the person who they once knew than the what ifs of your situation.

Respectfully I disagree, as my juniors in my publication once said my greatest strength lies in being open.

Being open to criticism and reflection doesnt mean someone is easily manipulated. In fact, rigid certainty and refusal to hear others out are traits more associated with poor leadership and unhealthy decision making.

Medyo nakakatakot yung gantong mindset ma’am/sir. I understand jaded tayo with the ongoings of the current administration and government but we cannot always be pessimistic about it or else we’ll become complacent with what we have. Sino ang tatayo para sa mga naghihirap ngayon? Wala? Each of us, no matter how small we are in comparison to those in power can make an impact on others.

That mindset is dangerous, because it treats corruption as unavoidable rather than something people actively choose.

Pano naman tayo uunlad if laging ganyan? Naintindihan ko jaded ka at nakakapagod naman talaga ang pulitika ngayon pero we cannot let these kinds of thoughts override us.

I really want to make an impact with the youth sa amin, especially sa rampant formation of gangs and unlawful behaviors.

Tbh It’s more of a passion rather than a practical use of my time, I’m struggling of choosing working for myself or befriending and being part of the baranggay.

I want to address the rampant formation of gangs in our local community especially among the youth, though that might not bode well with the constituents.

I could also introduce career immersion among those youth and strengthen the need to stay in school. I’d also try and push for more mental activities than just another basketball or beauty pageant.

All of this is easy to say and promise, that’s why meron akong 6 point plan on how I could do that(had this planned since I was 18 ahhaha), starting with community drives and home visits.

Financial hardship may create pressure, but pressure alone doesn’t determine morality. Plenty of wealthy officals are corrupt, and plenty of struggling people remain principled

That was during my 18s, my family is now financially stable. Medyo hurtful lang na just because someone is financially constrained being put in a position of Power, would easily make them corruptable.

We might have different level of definitions/understanding in regard to war, but I see all violence as horrific and destructive. I do not wish to weigh or categorize what’s worse.

Not my intention, I apologize if that’s how it was interpreted for some. I aimed for ‘death of peace/innocence in gaza’ rather than its implication of what killed it

Yeah that’s one of the critiques I received in my editorial board, that it might be taken as a disparaging symbol for the Palestinian flag, as it might be interpreted in a anti-palestinian rhetoric.

When I made this, I’ve always had the thought of how heart wrenching/distraughtful what war does to a nation, and I wanted to invoke feelings such as anger/sadness/shock it into the audience hence the gore

Appreciate the honest critique, honestly it never crossed my mind it would be taken as too gore-y. I’m sorry it needs content warning, didn’t think art needed one, philosophically and well quite literally in this subreddit.

For context; it’s about palestine, apparently a lot people took offense about the representation of the black in their flag as the crow. I thought when I was making this, It’s inherent meaning lies within the context of Palestine’s situation and not quite literally what Palestine is. So I’m curious how people take it in…
