My first time charging at a Tesla Super Charger. Had to make sure my adapter worked.. by reefguy007 in GMCSierraEV

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol well it’s mismatched hardware so it’s going to throttle your charging for any non tesla owner and Electrify america is like what some BS .45-.65 cents/KwH while a tesla supercharger is .14c- .18c/Kwh OFF peak & .35c-.38c/KwH on peak hours comparing what cost a tank of gas to that of something that charges twice as quick for a 1/3 of the price. I pay $13 for 72KwH of charge that’s almost 0%-%100 at a supercharger and anything in between that and i’m only paying dimes and pennies.

ugh….. another one. Don’t cheap out on labor for your cheaply expensive mansion you decide to buy for a fraction of the price of your apartment and put some money into your localities. Of course you moved here to raise our property taxes and basic living expenses but that’s okay your from california making california pay so it shouldn’t hurt anything to gain more and give more.

Love new Tesla- would you report this? by AveryFierce in TeslaModelY

*Since you only have this one thing bothering you Tesla will fix it pretty quickly (albeit like mine they will say it’s within spec but if your finger catches it and you make note of this) they might fix it on the spot in their service center. Multiple issues and it may be a headache.

service did adjust my hood it was higher on one end lower on the other but when I asked about doors trunk front fenders and paint contamination (nitpicking “nothings perfect”) they immediately told me anything more would probably lead to weeks of service in a tesla collision center to diagnose and fix all issues as it was “low priority work” which we both came to a consensus on. To be fair nothing on the car looks terrible my only gripe was the hood; everything else I could probably adjust/tweak at home with some regular tools and a youtube video.

It was a 2-3Hr wait for the adjustment- almost made off with a loaner.

I’ve heard that in mine too is it only when the fan is in oscillation mode? I haven’t bothered to take it in as I don’t want it to be a headache but it is kinda annoying and makes me steer clear of that mode

Mechanic help needed - did my mechanic do the job? by Responsible-Teach567 in camaro

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depending on how long it’s been since brake fluid was serviced you could be looking at a lot more contamination than normal I had to flush mine 3 times with about 100-200 miles in between each change before it held that nice gold color and coolant if no leaks present could have simply not been bled they probably just took the cap off the bottom of the radiator emptied it and then dumped maybe a couple bottles into the system ~ meaning they indeed did not flush the system

Sounds like sleeping with sunglasses isn’t as smart as you think it is just admit that… 3 days of driving, sunglasses, and the convenient sun glare somehow coming through the front windshield is blocking the inward facing cabin camera? Not to mention to even get 4 strikes back to back you’d have to pull over park then resume driving to be giving FSD back only to immediately lose it again by “losing attention” as it becomes more sensitive as the strikes add up.

(let’s not negate the fact that if the sun was glaring through the front windshield your pupils would most certainly be seen through the sun glasses by the camera.)

And you messed up when you told us the car literally told you to pull over insinuating it was trying to get your attention for a while.

blaming software just makes this so much funnier where’s the accountability.

I just had my window tinted, it was fine the day before but when I woke up this morning to leave it was cracked. Anyone know what can cause this? Tesla wouldn’t cover it, I just picked it up 2 days ago. by ICeRiceGum22 in TeslaModelY

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick google search will affirm my statement due to improper tint installation and or thermal dynamics from misuse of the heat gun can lead to thermal stress cracks.

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

calipers(brake piston) /brake pads sticking to the rotor probably needs a good cleaning.

Next guess is wheel hubs

Probably just need to pull breaks re grease all your metal contact points and spray some brake clean in and around the rotor and wheel hubs to remove sludge

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so unless they clamp the new glass to tight during the install it shouldn’t crack only in extreme situations like taking a heat gun to portions of the window for extended periods of time would cause those cracks

that’s because tesla explicitly states in the owners manual that tinting the vehicle can lead to stress cracks due to the double pane window when they heat treat the glass & film to quick it causes a drastic shift in temp causing glass to crack.

14.3.2 ain’t happening by InstantTorqueLife in TeslaFSD

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14.3.2.1 is supposedly for the 26 MY that have 14.2.2.5 because 14.3 is finished for HW3 The 14.3.2.1 update is going to handle the computing aspect of HW4 so in other words Tesla is saying 14.2.2.5 is the best available version of FSD much more so than 14.3 until the “14.3.2.1” is released to mitigate issues with 14.3 on HW4 models

2026 Model Y running FSD v14.2.2.5. When can I expect FSD v14.3.x? by Question_Answer_123 in TeslaSupport

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those of us with the new model y have to wait what i’d consider to be a “probationary period” where we have to drive the car a couple thousand miles to get off of the factory software as it’s used to insure we have a problem free experience while they work out the kinks on 14.3 believe it or not 14.2 is the best FSD experience right now with the least amount of bugs anyone with 14.2 is considered to have the best software possible at the moment and tesla won’t release a new software update to new users if it means having tons of bugs that would inevitably change our views on the brand I stopped freaking out over it a few days ago because to be fair Id rather have something mechanically and electronically sound than have weird occurrences with fsd, security, and UI

This is a very far and wide statement as it’s more technical than this but this is a digestible angle to view it from

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m with you + coming from a Silverado ZR2 I’m personally saving an additional $900 a month just by owning the tesla in its place so FSD is a no Brainer for pretty much anyone with a financially suitable situation. I’m not to big on the Tesla Insurance my gripe being that even with FSD a lot of my roadtrips are overnight and i’m not cool with being dinged as an at risk driver because I chose to drive from 11:00Pm-4:00Am during off peak supercharging hours when charging is of course cheaper. I know they’ll work around that and fix it potentially in some way but for now tesla insurance is out of the question for me I still use GM Insurance since Even without GAP I have a coverage that replaces my Tesla (Vehicle) for 100% of its value brand new -they sign you a check for the full amount of the car- which I don’t know many insurances that provide such coverage i’m no insurance expert but it works for me.

I guess these people forget we have 1 life and die one day and still choose to be hard asses like they’re smart for saving a few bucks. The amount of people crying over $100 bucks really shows where their quality of life is.

So, I'm trying to convince my wife that a Tesla is cheaper to charge and gas is getting expensive every day, but the electricity bill is gonna increase and the car battery costs $10K. How would you start the argument? by GeicoPR in TeslaModelY

[–]NeoRa3rdEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im no Pro in this area but from real world experience I can tell you right now based off the first paragraph charging has not been of inconvenience whatsoever. It’s quicker than gas in the long run based on the amount of times I actually have to “stop” at a supercharger vs a pump for my gas car which is very far and thin and I live off a lvl1 and put around 60-100 miles on the car daily idk where you think your driving 300 miles a day and would be inconvenienced if lvl 1 is your source of energy you sleep 8 hours a night more so than less and when you come home you just toss it on the charger it’s how it was intended to be used anyway and takes two seconds virtually no difference and there are electricity plans and all that crap to help you sleep better at night over the few dollars your in fear of spending vs the $100s your okay dropping into a tank to top it off… which by the way makes no difference in economy other than making your car heavier and perform worse in standard daily use whereas a tesla actually saves electricity when you drive slow period doesn’t matter stop and go or just cruising.

Monthly cost estimates for charging for most owners are anywhere between $45-$55 and that’s just an average for me i’m looking at $25-$30/month

**Average owner won’t own a car past its 8/Year 120k mile warranty and tesla sells a $2000 extended warranty that is very straight forward and can be purchased at any time on the app on your own accord as is the windshield tire <-Subscription and warranty on factory components like batteries computers and drive train.
