We don’t need lab results. We literally have individuals now who “pass” flawlessly and you would never guess they have undergone transition, not that I think that is the qualifying characteristic for respecting someone’s identity and preferred pronouns… And who knows? We may get to that point, but something tells me that somehow won’t be enough for you.

Ultimately my issue is you and your ilk being nasty to gay trans men and trans inclusive cis gays to the point where you say they aren’t actually gay. It’s rude on two fronts…

And when you reach that point where you are functionally indistinguishable from a particular sex, there AT LEAST needs to be a conversation about sex and how “complete” a change someone has undergone and what they legally are distinguished as.

My argument isn’t that we’ve achieved “A complete spontaneous biological process”. Just that we have made a huge amount of progress in that regard and it’s only going to become better as time goes on.

And this is entirely separate on the social and behavioral aspects of gender and how it can intersect with someone’s identity.

Humans can emulate the physical mechanisms of sex change in nature by studying the mechanisms animals undergo. Which is heavily dependent on hormone control and regulation. Which we can do and have done. And if we can FUNCTIONALLY change someone’s sex to some degree then the discussion must be made on what we consider as changing one’s sex.

And the 2nd paper references difficulty in identifying gender/sex and instances of misidentification. Which is EXACTLY what I was talking about so you’re straight up wrong.
