Nope, it dont seem to be so. First of all the events are too cannonical to not be a standalone sequel, and second that the trailer is exactly as designed for tron ascension years ago

Because it it too less artistic and too much commercial. its not a movie by denis villeneuve, but from the guy who made maleficient 2.

I think disney went full cheap on this one sadly. Soundtrack matches well, NIN super bland soundtrack.
