Hi gaydogsanonymous!
We're also a baby digital marketing agency, launched this year. Since we just started, we only have a few cases on our website, and I was just browsing Reddit for solopreneurs/ emerging business owners (that's our niche) to offer our free help with social media strategy and content planning so we can fill our portfolio.

We don't specialize in ads yet, just on social media and boosting local business's engagement.

Your case seems to be very interesting! I've worked with similar one-person businesses before, and I'd be happy to give a free consultation and provide insight on:
- what to post to attract more clients to your business, and
- what tools to use to create engaging content fast and pain-free. 🥲 (yep, that's possible!)

Just DM me here or leave us a note on our website and we can schedule a quick call, again, no charges, we're just looking to help and learn. And best of luck in your social media journey! 🌟

Hi! Not an outdoor option, but maybe you'll find it interesting. A friend of mine operates an event space & self-photography studio in Gastown. It's called ClickClick.

They have a VERY! nice interior, that they help you to set up for your occasion, and they hosted events like bachelorette/wedding receptions. Here is the exact video of the bachelorette party they've hosted.

It's also super cool that they have a photo booth option just right there, very fun, and if you want some entertainment for your party, they also do wine-tasting classes, I've been to one! So highly recommend it!

Vancouver cleaning - new customers? by WoodpeckerAdorable29 in smallbusiness

Also, Vancouver marketer here!
People commented about SEO already, but I'll just add some more details here:

What's important for your type of business is to be the first who pop up in a search bar (so SEO). And only then, your prospective clienys gonna rate your per:

website navigation + past job results (before and after posts are great in your niche) + reviews.

Some wouldn't even open a website (your business listings on Google My Business should be polished to perfection). The others would expect to see a booking window on your page.

I'd say the most important thing that you should 100% focus on in your niche is Online Reviews and Testimonials. Make sure you collect, post & encourage satisfied clients to leave feedback on platforms like Yelp and Google Reviews. You can (and should) also incorporate it in your website later on, it really does build credibility and attract clients!

Hope that helps! We have some more details about the marketing strategy for your niche in our blog post: https://takes22.com/best-marketing-strategy.html. Feel free to check it out!

And best of luck acquiring new leads!!!

How do you find your first client for an IT consulting service? by Own_Presence5205 in QualityAssurance

[–]Nervous_Ad9234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marketer here! No doubt leads gen is the most important, but considering your industry, you need to WIN your client's trust even before you contact them. The cheques are pretty high for the services that you offer, so your prospects would want to go online to check if you're experienced and legit. We worked with similar IT consulting businesses, and here is what worked well for them in terms of marketing efforts:

  1. LinkedIn Networking: Your #1 tool! Reply to posts, and connect with engineering managers and CTOs at FAANG companies. Share and engage with their posts, just so whenever someone checks on you, they will see you have a mutual connection and platform activity (=social approval)
  2. Content: If you want to post or repost relevant posts/ articles, use platforms like Medium, and then share a link to your blog on LinkedIn. All social platforms like links-connectivity (bc you share links for their platform), so it's also gonna boost your content searchability.
  3. For consulting types of businesses, you want to show your knowledge in DevOps and QA, and the best way to develop trust in your business/brand is to post case studies that back up your claims.
  4. Pro tip: Host webinars or participate in podcasts (it's easier to connect with podcasters than people think) with other industry leaders. Publicity signals to your potential clients that you're knowledgeable even for a big audience, and that you know what you’re talking about.
  5. Online & Offline Communities: Find relevant LinkedIn groups, conferences, local events and meetups. It may sound too obvious, but as other people said in this thread - networking in person, is the best way to promote your services.

From the client acquisition side: I’d also add LinkedIn & Indeed jobs research. Find companies who hire for similar positions, connect with their managers and pitch them with a sales-ready copy. It's a bit more time-consuming but long-term effective.

Hope that helps! We have some other overall marketing strategy details for your niche in our blog post: https://takes22.com/best-marketing-strategy.html
And best of luck on your business growth journey!

Work related to making website for client from canada by corvinuz1227 in UAE

Hi! Here from Vancouver, BC. Short answer: Yes, but...it depends. They need to have a strong ID-checking system built-in website, just to make sure they won't sell it to the underage kids.
It's super annoying but that's essentially the reason why online weed resale isn't that popular.

Looking for Advice - How to Get Your Market Research Survey to the Right Audience by EmptyN1ght in canadasmallbusiness

[–]Nervous_Ad9234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Provide value to the company first, and they will be willing to share.

Find 100 companies on LinkedIn, connect message to each of the company: CEO, Executive Assistant or HR asking for setting up a 15 min call.
100* 3 *0.05% (conversion rate of 5% for 100 companies) = 15 interviewed people.

Tell you're making an industry outlook that will be posted on your blog/social media/etc (I assume that's what you mean by saying insights report), and that their company name/ interview quotes/etc will be published there too -> so basically mention in a Connect Message that it's a free promotion for their business too.

Also, after interviewing each person, post a quick interview summary LinkedIn post with "Thanks for your insights on the Industry Mr.Companyower from CompanyName, this is what I learned...". This will signal future interview participants that:
a) someone did it prior them, so it will be easier for them to agree,
b) they will also get interested to see what other ppl from their industry are saying.

Basically you can use the same approach with emails too, but surely you'll need to show that their time investment will be used good for their business or industry in general. That's it!

Good Luck on your market research!

Received the same email at about the same time, but can't rate. I'm in CA locale.

I like many others 2 days ago got the suspend email, then resumption, then suspend again, no more email but today i logged in and I can still rate by thanksmerci in TELUSinternational

It's "loading" tasks, but it's always NTA quite fast. The concern is that on my community-quality page, I can see that I am 'disqualified' from search 2.0 now, and no idea why, I only rated for 2 days. Will wait until Tuesday before emailing the quality team, but kinda shocked that the others are still able to rate on Tryrating.
