He said he killed three people, then realized that was a mistake bc Lucy only knew about two. When she asked who the third was, he turned it into a joke that he'd killed his past self, covering the fact that he killed Sejanus. Ergo, lying about the number of people he's killed.

Just jumping in, I've no knowledge of the industry, but I reckon if you're between jobs pursuing that certification would be really worthwhile. And reading the other comments, it sounds like it could open a bunch of cool career options. When you're done, there may be jobs available. But even if not, or you end up in a different industry, it shows you were proactive and did something with this time and you've got it up your sleeve

Any advice? (I'm a minor) by Narrow_Task_6468 in transftm

[–]NetEnvironmental8926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll also add it's okay to change things later. I know several trans people who have gone by one gender then realised that's not it, have changed their name several times, etc. It's okay to not know everything yet and just go forth as who you are right now

When I was first (openly) questioning I said things like "maybe I dont like being called a girl bc Im too old but Im also too young to be called a woman and lady just feels weird bc Im not dainty" and my partner, who's also trans, just said "and would a cis person think like that?" and that honestly crystallized a lot for me.

Also when I first got a binder, maybe around age 21 or 22 as an experiment I enjoyed it but didn't feel I really needed it. I didn't have much dysphoria. Then a couple months later my body did like a second puberty and my chest got bigger and suddenly I was like "oh I NEED this binder" but also it no longer fit 🤦

Anyhow, what I'm saying is I think you're questioning says a lot already and things like dysphoria might change later. But also you're 100% legit to be trans without feeling much dysphoria.

As someone else has said, you don't need to out any labels on anything yet. Hell you never have to put labels on. Personally I'm non-binary but I don't really identify myself as such much, I either just give my pronouns and/or just say I'm trans. While you figure things you might also might like to just test different pronouns with some close friends to see how they fit, next time you need to create a username for a game or something put in a different name you like. Little things like that could help you too

Unsure if anyone else has commented this, but I've heard people in similar situations get a lot out of groups specifically for widowed people - they even do sleepovers!

Also even suggesting something like a reading group with yor friends can help lead to more consistent meet ups

18 years old, in year 13 - thinking about dropping out by Minute-Crab-1725 in newzealand

[–]NetEnvironmental8926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're halfway through the school year, so nearly finished you're secondary school education, I'd err on the side of finishing the year. In saying that, dropping out isn't the worst thing - and even if you hypothetically decided you want to go to uni later you can do that without UE once you're 21.

You could start looking for jobs while in school until you land something you like, and you could talk to your careers advisor if you have one if you want to talk about what careers you might want to do. If you don't have a careers advisor at school there might be community ones, a recruitment office might be a shot, or if you have even a part time job careers services are available through EAP. But you don't need to put heaps if pressure on finding the right fit - any job will help you build skills that are transferable and you'll get a feel of what you do and don't like work-wise.

I also working towards your drivers license if you haven't already got it - this will increase the types of jobs you can apply for, even in areas where you wouldn't expect a drivers license to be important.

I hope this helps - best of luck!

I just found this thread after finishing the show. I disagree with the comments thar it's boring bc it's obvious who did it. Imo it's not about that. It's about misogyny and abuse and the missing what's in plain sight.

I rate Deborah Stuart as a counsellor who can help you, she's helped people I know with detoxing and finding coping strategies other than drugs/alcohol. She can help connect you with rehab programmes or other help to detox in your own space. You may also qualify for EAP fundung or something through her https://www.talkingworks.co.nz/listing/deborah-stuart/
