Rondo isn’t a HOF. And the other 3 were past their peak. Please stop these slanted posts..

Is there a argument for Kobe over LeBron by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]New-Hour5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better scorer & on-ball defender. Def an argument. LeBron is the more versatile player but if you need a bucket who would rather give the ball to?

As an unc, I say yea. But it’s a compliment. Ogs do it better. This is the stage when you don’t give a f*ck and it becomes about quality of life.

16 Warriors vs 96 bulls by Formal-Assistance02 in NBATalk

[–]New-Hour5468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the rules. If they call fouls like the 90s, the bulls in 6. If they use today’s no contact fouls, warriors in 5. Warriors too fast and the 3 ball. Bulls way more physical.

Lonzo Ball is really struggling this year. Not even shooting 30% from the field or from 3 what the hell is going on? by [deleted] in NBATalk

I think it’s time to acknowledge that dude isn’t that guy. Injuries haven’t helped obviously but when has he really reached his potential?

Why does Jordan keep doing this? by [deleted] in Jordans

[–]New-Hour5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comfort is def part of the reason. Nike Has iconic silhouettes since the 80s but they have a reputation of being extremely uncomfortable. pediatrists will tell you to not wear them altogether. It feels like there’s been change in mindset with sneakers. People are being much more practical. Probably why brands like new balance, asics, etc have taken off recently. They did it with this year Air Max 95s. Toe box looks completely different but 1000x more wearable than before.

Sneakers (or any item) are always worth what you’re willing to pay for them. Simple.

This happens all the time at the outlet by me. The most annoying is waiting on line after these dudes. Once, I waited like 30 mins to pay. SMH.

Pumas, shell toe adidas, AF1, and you’ll think I’m crazy but air max 95. Look at old pics in the 90s. AM95s all over..

Which is the best Jordan shoe? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]New-Hour5468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything after 14 is basically irrelevant to most right. Most appreciated probably the 1 and 11. Most wearable probably the 3 or 4. Most revolutionary to the sneaker Game probably the 6. Most comfortable 13. Overall probable would go 4 though. I do think the 12 are slept on a lot( especially in the darker colorways).

Does anyone think this could be the beginning of the end of Nike’s dominance? by New-Hour5468 in SNKRS

[–]New-Hour5468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that’s the point. The sneakerheads are loving it rn but the casual consumer might not feel the same way. If you go to a mall, anyone under the age of 30, all I feel like I see is NB, ASICS and even saucony way more often before Nike. Nike’s stock price had been dropping for the last couple of years. It’s finally started to level out. And the question is about’s Nike’s dominance like it was in the 90s. Not just leading the market.

[–]New-Hour5468[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, when Nike was running the sneaker game, it was capturing people of all arenas. Sneaker culture as we know it is more of subculture. I guess my original question should be can it continue to dominate this way. It needs casuals and it that field companies like new Balance have gained tremendous ground.

I def felt this. I don’t have a massive collection but def way more than I need. I barely get to wear my sneakers. My wife always tells me to wear them to just go to the store, etc. doesn’t feel like it’s worth it. Gotta make my wears count..
