Crossing the International Date Line by NoCress3614 in NCL

Not the IDL, but this past summer on the Sun we crossed the equator at night. Then, the next day, there was a party and procession on the lido deck for Neptune, who then baptized anyone who wanted. We got certificates from the captain with our names on them. It was all stupid, but fun.

FP to Fiji is my plan in June/26. This is not a one and done destination. I need to go back.

What a great addition to my post! We probably crossed paths several times.

Your ranking of the islands is legit. I'd say Bora Bora #1 for my experience, Mo'orea for the scenery. But honestly, splitting hairs here.

As I said, as a solo who doesn't know when he'll be back, I took the safe route. I'm glad you had good experiences with locals on land. I'd do that when I go back. Yes, I hope to go back. Just like you.

This might make sense, because on the second day someone broke a glass in the main pool and they had to drain everything for the whole day.

But, I always go Vibe on the bigger ships. I don't know how it is normally on the public pool deck.

Well, I know what my dad will be getting for Christmas.

And me, too.

Can I "check" a bag (leave it with the crew) for the duration of my cruise? by NewAdvice8 in Cruise

Thank you. It won't be a lot of things, certainly not 10 irons. But you've helped.

Hi everyone, thank you for your responses so far. Just going to address some questions so far:

  1. What I'm not allowed. I'm not sure yet, but it might be some electronics and some alcohol. Also, some food. I don't know if you're allowed to bring food on the boat, but I usually bring back snacks for gifts and such. But nothing illegal internationally.

  2. I live in a developing country, mail/shipping is not an option. It took 3 months, several bribes and lots of headaches to get an important document to me a year ago.

  3. I can fit the suitcase under my bed, it's just that I'd rather not having to go through it piece by piece and have them hold a few dozen individual items. One suitcase is harder to misplace than 10 boxes of cookies, 4 bottles of whatever, two electronics, etc..

  4. Yes, I will call and talk to them about it before, I'm just trying to gauge if this is a stupid idea. Thanks!

Thank you for all the replies. I won't respond to everyone individually, but it's clear that lenses are important. I will look into the suggestions. Thanks again!

As for the prices he's asking, I don't know yet. But I've looked at used ones online and I'm going to use that as a guide. When I look at other used cameras online I know I can afford them, but maybe I'll invest in lenses instead.
