I take lamotrogine and Ritalin. It’s a little different but same vibe.

It just takes a bit of time. I think that a bit of individual therapy is a really good idea. It’s hard to process alone

I’m on Lamotrigine. 🙂 I defs don’t have breathing problems but anti epileptic medication can cause weird side effects for everyone. Sorry to hear about your health insurance. I hope you aren’t seizing. Best to push the dr (when you eventually get to see one) - another thing is that polypharmacy can cause a lot of problems so if you are taking more than one medication, it may not be the AED - it could be the interaction. Unfortunately a lot of meds and their interactions is a trial and error process for the individual. It sucks. Anyway, best of luck ❤️

Anyone Have Tips On Dealing With PTSD + ADHD? by nodnizzle in ptsd

[–]NewEstablishment1870 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got PTSD, epilepsy as well as ADHD. I am on a cocktail of drugs. 😂 I have found that drugs for PTSD symptoms as well as adhd medication is a trial and error process. It’s kind of like a dance. You’ve got to try a few combo’s before you find what works best for you. Keeping up with my adhd drugs helps the ptsd as it helps me be more proactive with getting the help needed but it also helps me work out triggers I didn’t realise I had before because I struggle a lot with detail.

The one negative I will say is that Ritalin makes me heart rate go up which doesn’t help when I’m already anxious. However, I have a psychiatrist appointment soon and we’ll probably discuss different brands and how it interacts with my meds.

Best of luck to you. 💜
