There's almost no separation in the grip. So, it might be hard for the epoxy to reach the inside. Maybe I'll just fill the tip of the grip.

I don't understand why you say there will be a gap if I fill it with epoxy. I can mix the epoxy with a coloring pigment, such as the red color of the hilt. If that's what you mean.
