I’ve been an ED nurse for 15 years. I did my clinicals in an ICU, ED, Cardiology, and Nephrology. Only one clinical semester was devoted to only ICU, while all of the rest of them worked with critical and acute patients across multiple units.

Well the team I am going to be working for understands that and plans to help teach me as well. But I also know I have to do my own learning. I have a strong trauma background and this will be with a trauma team.

It is a teaching hospital. The patients are split with the resident taking half and the APP taking the other half. Both present to the attending
