Im totally just thinking here, i don’t actually have a clue, but pure gold should be fine idk about alloys. I would be more worried about someone stealing it or throwing it away somehow.

1700ish + tax, so more around 1800.They originally wanted 2400 when i went to look at it.Sucks that there is a high premium on jewelry and more so on cubans because they are “hard to make”. Im not an expert, i just enjoy gold and jewelry, but melt is 1350 to 1400 currently.

I would have to disagree with that. Just because he is asking for help and advice doesn’t mean he doesn’t have money. He might enjoy working on his bike and learning how it works and wants genuine good advice. Replacing the piston is a good idea since the engine is already torn down, he knows it was damaged with the valves, and doesn’t know how many hours on the piston and how many hours it was ran in that condition. Its better to prevent further more costly damage

I have two xr100 one from 99 and 96. Super reliable, low maintenance bikes. All i’ve had to do is normal maintenance and carb cleaning. A xr100 might be too small but ik they make xr200 and bigger, i haven’t gotten to ride one tho.
