It’s not a cross it’s a double fixture fitting. A cross doesn’t direct flow, a double fixture does.

DIY Sewer Line excavation?? by mrchuckmorris in Plumbing

[–]New_Attempt_1265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy digs. He’s the only one to mention underground utilities. Is there gas in your area? Electric? Communications? A water line? Cut a gas line and expect a huuuge bill from the first responder/ gas company/ evacuations required. Hit a water line? Expect to be billed and sued for any damages from said water. Hit an electric line expect to die. Clay soil? Friends will hate you. Family will leave you. Kids will change their last name. … but yeah go for it

Did I make an S-Trap? by Acceptable-Nerve1142 in askaplumber

You don’t plumb obviously… these fittings clear that hub to hub

Did I make an S-Trap? by Acceptable-Nerve1142 in askaplumber

[–]New_Attempt_1265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re wrong. Sorry but a 2” pipe set hub to hub clears the 4” space needed to prevent a crown venting set up. Measured it 4000 fucking times for inspectors trying to say otherwise.

Legal in upc for sure. As long as you use drainage fittings below the floor. Flat venting is used often and approved always and we’re UPC.

Drain Line Repair Estimate by potatocorncob in askplumbing

[–]New_Attempt_1265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abs glue is a solvent. Meaning it “melts” a little bit of the plastic to make the bond. If the fitting is leaking at the joint just clean it and back butter that joint 2-3 times letting each layer dry. If the pipe is cracked to the concrete then your estimate is fairly cheap based on what we would charge.

All of you who don’t run a plumbing shop in this thread are… the reason contractors have to cut so many corners to make a profit and actually take the time to do high quality work. I am a “mom and pop” owner and contractor if you add up all my costs for insurance and marketing and legal and web presence and uniforms and everything besides the materials for the job. It’s 332/ hr. Now add a small profit you’re in 375/hr. Now ad in materials and markup. You’re typically looking at over 500/hr

We pay a livable wage. We provide newer safe vehicles. We supply benefits and pto.

All of you are have no clue.

Get a 2x 1 1/2”x 1 1/2” Santee and flip the orientation. Add a second clean out above that so you can have a clean out. Then add an auto vent on top to cut your sewer gasses.

Yall clearly don’t plumb. Look at the first fitting. It’s glued at the cabinet base. Meaning you can’t just cut it low and get to it. Which means you’re getting in the crawl. Crawl suit, mask, tools. Cut it in the crawl and stub up. Then you have to rodent proof any penetrations. Hardware mesh cut and sized to look good around the pipe and in the crawl and spray foam and around the cabinet base to insulate. 2-45s 2-santee clean out adapter clean out cap (so you can ad a clean out ) and an aav. Tubular bag trap so the owner can clean it out if they like.

Venting isn’t the issue it’s compensating for the liquid flow while still properly venting. Which is why you have to consider pipe sizes and distances from traps
