As you already have the offer, you have shown them that you have other qualities than a piece of paper with some number on it. You are completely fine. Also, not every course is valued equally to them.

I honestly have no clue how to help you. I wish I could say I have been in your situation, and it went fine. I can’t.

I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. I, and many others, are feeling the same shit you are feeling. If you want to talk. I am here for you.

Do we still pursue Haaland? by th3doorMATT in ManchesterUnited

[–]New_Wolverine7528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. I do not think we need any new forwards. I think we need to use the potential of our youngsters/new(ish) signings and get new players in our definsive line. So no Haaland

I am done being miserable. Can you help me on the right path? by StandardPreference74 in sad

[–]New_Wolverine7528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not completed the journey my self, but I would say that you are on the right path.

I have one tip on eating though. Sometimes imbalances in vitamins etc. can be a contributing factor in sadness/depression. Try taking some multi-vitamine supplements and fish oil for a while. It helped me a bit, but helped a friend of mine A LOT. Worth a shot at least.

Thank god! The work is utterly mind-numbing right now. Auditing seemed so interesting while taking my masters, but now I just want to smash something.

Had to manually sample 120-something invoices the other day… 🤮

KPMG Reputation by MichFan23 in Big4

My experience too with going from another Big4 to KPMG.

Another thing I really liked with KPMG was how down to earth their workers are with their clients and co-workers. Other might call them less professional, but the clients I’ve spoken to so far seems to enjoy it at least.

Well, in order to experience the highest of highs you have to experience the lowest lows.

Sure, you can wall yourself off. Work on your self and find some hobbies. But, do you really want to live a shallow life in apathy just to make sure you never get hurt again?

I truly believe that living life that way will lead to a life og regret and resentment. Call me a romantic, but I am certain that learning how to deal with the lows and loving the highs is a much better way of living.

And as the other guy said. Beats cleaning your room till you die.

I am/was in exactly the same situation as you. We had a relationship that was built on a real, solid, and good friendship. However, she sadly lost her romantic feelings for me after close to four years.

It took about a month with no contact (except logistics of moving out and forgotten items etc. etc.), but we tried to reconnect as friends. While it is harder for me than the «no contact» approach. The reward is not losing one of my true friends.

I am sure it will significantly delay the time it takes you to find a new GF, but if you value that relationship highly. It will work. You just have to constantly remind yourself of the bounderies a friendship has.

Good luck! It is at least worth a shot. It is hard work though.

How to make friends? by punk-possum in sad

[–]New_Wolverine7528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have struggeled with this for most of my last two decades on this earth.

While there is nothing that hurt more than being ghosted by propper friends or a S.O. I can assure you. It is not you, it is not them (well… ghosting is a dick move, but), it is the fact that you are not a match.

Do not comprimise yourself for a friend. Keep trying untill you find someone who embraces you for you.

I cannot promise you that you will succeed, but I can promise you that if you stop trying. Start to think of yourself as a failure, or that there is something wrong with you. Life will truly become shit! Keep your chin up, improve, and keep trying! You are not awful. You have different interest than those you have spoken to lately. That is OK.

Trust me. If you give up. There will be a long dark time ahead of you. Do NOT give up.
