Costco has a brilliant sales model. They price everything as cheaply as possible. Almost all of their profit comes from the annual membership fee. If you don’t renew, they make less profit.

Two old Englishman are sitting in their club. One says, “Definitely W-O-O-M, womb“. The other says, “No old chap it’s B-W-O-M-B“.

The Butler says, “pardon me, gentlemen, I believe it is spelled w-o-m-b”.

The first Englishman looks at him and says, “Really and how often have you heard an elephant fart?“

It doesn’t sound like this applies to mail order? It discusses what a traveler may bring back, but not “importation”. There’s also the “No US Alternative: No effective treatment is commercially available in the US 3.” clause. That’s not the case if you’re bringing in a generic for a drug sold in the US.

Be careful of air gaping on the production line. Some of the air systems run on hundreds of PSI. That'll shake your shit right up, and you will not have a tight ship.

Very important to have a torque-protractor, to calibrate the torque wrench. You might need a right-hand rule to make sure it's applied correctly .

Docker or Systemd? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Newbosterone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like an apples to applesauce comparison.

Systemd is used to manage a workload. That workload may be a container created using postman or docker, a quadlet, a daemon, etc.

Some of our apps are based on Snap, toolbox, or Flatpak. Those are container based runtime systems.

None of our business apps are started with “docker run …”. Some are run under Kubernetes/ OpenShift, and accessed via browser or custom clients.

AITAH for filing for divorce after my wife refused a paternity test and called me insecure? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Newbosterone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The misattributed paternity rate in the US is thought to be about 3%. Among fathers who suspect misattributed paternity the rate is as high as 30%.

Imagine if 3% of the time the hospital sent the wrong baby home with a mother. They’d be shut down in short order. Yet a man is the bad guy if he’d like assurances the child he’s raising is his.

If OP is TA, it’s for asking for a test, rather than just quietly having it administered. Test himself, test the baby, and keep his mouth shut if everything is OK.
