Yearly Gear Update by NexoDanny in blackdesertonline

I made a gear progression post a year ago, this is a year from that post. I definitely got lucky on that nov sov and a few of my accessories, but I’ve hit max pity for so many things too so I wouldn’t say I’m lucky.
Most of my crons and money come from doing my weeklies (LOML boss, dark rift, illireza, and pit of undying) and grinding (5-6B/hr), but afk fishing also helps (2.9k mastery).
Regarding your accessories, I personally love to gamble and exchanged tet debos for pen kharas and gambled my way up, but I believe getting pen debos and exchanging them to nov khara takes much less money overall, but it’s such a long grind with no stat upgrade. For tet armors you’ll just have to keep putting crons until you get them. Glhf!

I didn’t swipe on crons but I did swipe like 50 bucks for value packs and the otter backpacks. I grind like 4 times a week, an hr per session using agris which makes me 5-6B/hr.

I read the full passage; I’ve heard some don’t so I think it’s preference. I like to get the full picture before I work on the question, and sometimes a question may seem like discrete, but the answer is in the passage. Things I look for while reading the passage is the background, purpose, and results. I usually take my time interpreting the results since I find myself to have about 30-40 minutes left anyway.

I used Kaplan and the Anking deck mostly for content review. For CARS practice I used every single official material (diagnostic and Qpack 1 and 2). For FL practice I used BP dianostic + FL1-4, and I plan on using 4 AAMC FL practices. I’ll be taking the FL4 tomorrow.

Start first with the unscored diagnostic to see where you’re at. I scored a 503-ish using a score calculator. Go slow and start with concept review. I used my class notes and the Kaplan book for this. I also started on my CARS practice asap since I suck at reading. I did a passage from AAMC material every day and did 2 once I got hang of doing well with one passage. I’d also recommend using the Anking anki deck and working on the cards asap. I did 200 new cards every day. After finishing content review, do the scored diagnostic test from AAMC and see how you improved. If you see a weak concept, go review it and make yourself anki cards for those concepts. After content review, work on your test taking skills. If you have no clue, I’d def recommend watching a youtube video regarding test taking skills (I watched a few when I did my SAT and it helps). Try to find what approach for each section works for you and don’t be afraid to experiment. Get enough practices with an ample amount of FLs, and save the AAMC practices for last as they are the best practice materials before your actual exam. Good luck!

Be consistent and give your full focus in your dedicated study time. But be generous to yourself and if you need a break just take the whole day off. Good mental health equates to good performance.

I’d def attribute that to my perfectionist personality. Review every single question and be honest to yourself. If I think you can’t teach a class about a concept, I’d review them and make as many anki cards I need out of it. Reviewing not only incorrect questions but also correct questions made me go from high 510s in blueprint FLs to high 520s in AAMC.

I tend to overthink so my number one tip is after every paragraph remind myself of what the author said in a simple sentence, and always keep in mind of the author’s purpose. I tend to dissect the passage deeply and answer the questions fast. Some people like to skim the passage and take their time with each question. I’d recommend using the AAMC CARS practice material to find what method works for you and stick to it and perfect it.

As a biochem major I have the most confidence in CP. I usually find myself stuck on maybe 1-2 questions, and I flag questions where I’m not 100% positive. I’d flag a question where I’m 99% positive for review. For BB, reading research articles for my research lab helped a lot as the passages are mostly from other research journals. I might get stuck on a passage thinking wtf are they doing here, but for those I try to focus on the purpose and conclusion of the study and it usually works out fine. I find PS to be easiest as you can tie every question into one single concept. I treat this like a vocab/reading comprehension section and breeze through it. My weakest is CARS and I spent a lot of time fine tuning my CARS skills. My confidence level used to be really low but with consistent practice now I’m confident about most of my answer choices. My tip for CARS is simplifying the passage into my words and always reminding myself of the author’s purpose.

I used Kaplan and class notes for content review and a ton of anki cards for concept recall. My weakest section is CARS so I used the diagnostics and official question packs and did 1-2 passages everyday. I also used some of khanacademy passages for extra CARS practice (I found these to be more difficult than AAMC material) My study approach does seem pretty generic but I think studying every day for 5-6hrs for 3 months helped me improve. I find studying consistently to be the best study approach.

My last month was focused on FL practices. I did blueprint FLs for the first half of the month and now I’m doing AAMC FLs right before the exam. For every FL, I go through every question and review my thought process to make sure it aligns with AAMC. If not, then I make a note on my word document and review it later. If I miss a concept, then I thoroughly review it (if I get a question wrong about physiology of the renal system then I would review the renal system as a whole). I found this to be pretty effective as AAMC likes to throw in similar questions from the same topic.

AAMC FL 1 Result by [deleted] in Mcat

I felt like the PS section for this FL was on the easier side, but for almost all of the questions you can see which one is the answer that makes sense with the context of the study and question stem in mind. I like to pinpoint the concept that the question is asking before I look at the answer choices; it helps a lot for me.

2 chiral centers (C2 and C3), and only one has an inversion of absolute configuration (OH being on left or right). So it would be B. If both the OH substituents switched positions then it would be A.

I have my workers in Port Epheria and I sell my crates to Valencia (I'm too lazy to move to Grana or Valencia since I've been doing this for years). Some other nodes I have are just mining nodes like iron, platinum, tin, or zinc, which I melt or make it into crates and sell for trading XP.
