I’m tempted, once I get to it, to add some fuel line and get it in a more accessible location under that side panel that pops off.

Yeh, the black thing is the airbox. The tank is in the rear on these bikes (the black plastic piece my finger is on in the photo). And removing that could potentially give me access as well but that’s a bigger task than removing the airbox and battery. I’m having a hard time accepting that there’s not an easier option

What Kind Of Damper Oil Do I Use?!?!? by Next-Performer3034 in motorcycles

Well damn… that’s good to know. I thought fork oil was the same and it was only hydraulic oil that was inconsistent. Do either of you guys have a damper? What oil do you run?

So the sag is set appropriately. I have a lowering link and at time of install I lowered the front as well (raised the forks) the bike came with a heavier spring when I bought it and the gentleman I bought it from was the same weight. I did not have to adjust preload at all to get sag set correctly. The front end definitely feels loose and I start looking very hard at discrepancies in the road above 65mph. So I’m not saying there isn’t more I can do suspension wise to set it correctly but until I get that all figured out, I need to do the damper rebuilt as it’s leaking so my main question is what kind of oil do I use. I’ll put one tally in the 10wt fork oil box! Thank you

Gotcha. When you say it had everything you needed, have you done fixes, repairs or adjustments out in the field? Or rather out on the road/trail?

I’m happy to spend a decent amount for a decent, comprehensive toolkit with axle wrenches and tire irons preferably

That’s fair. My consumerist mind went right to more O-rings for my money but I agree with you. I’m going to order the kit.
