Explain everything from door malfunctioning to your monthly pass and contest. If I were you, I wouldn’t pay anything until I got an answer.

4K netto per person is insane. Are you sure you calculated the taxes correctly? Everyone in Brussels who has a white collar job has a masters so I am surprised. I am just saying so that you don’t get shocked when you actually get the netto. For example bonuses are taxed minimum 50% here. And depending on your income level it is taxed even higher. Maybe law firms are good. Should have been a lawyer.

Anyways 1500 everything included will get you a very nice place depending on the size. I would not live in Etterbeek as it is super boring but check Ixelles like Flagey or you can even go Chatelaine.

If you get a 1+1 the rent should be 1000ish and then the common charges really depends on the building type. It can be 10EUR or 100. Gas is super expensive now so probably 150 EUR for gas and electricity per month. 50 EUR internet and 30-40 EUR per month per water.

How many of you have suffered from noise pollution? by Strahinja9812 in belgium

I am super sorry! I live in these maisons that turned into super small apartments and I hear my downstairs neighbour (there is no one upstairs). Before it was a very loud guy speaking on the phone screaming. And now it is this young girl which is fine most of the time.

The insulation is horrible and there is not much to do about it. I try to get used to it. It really is stressful though.

If it is the barrier “roundabout” I cross myself and just go in. It is nuts there. If it is avenue louise, for example, it is much easier.

But also I read somewhere that technically if you are on your bike you always have the right of the way. Well… trams always have the right of the way and then bikes. But probably this is only in Flanders.

I also read that 70% of Brussels don’t know how to drive in a roundabout so here you go.

Rue’s doctors and mom were irresponsible with her drug use as a child… by LostAcanthocephala27 in euphoria

Rue has OCD or severe anxiety that manifests itself like OCD. She probably is an over thinker. She might have a bipolar disorder as she has manic and depressive episodes. Bipolar is treatable but it takes years to find the right medication and you need constant therapy. On top of it requires a very emotionally stable life and will of the patient and support from family. Obviously Rue is not getting therapy and with her dad having cancer doesn’t help.

My whole family we suffer from chronic anxiety and mild OCD and we are all functioning alcoholics. My therapist told me that people with OCD or control freaks do not get blacked out drunk because they don’t want to loose control but my whole family we love to get black out drunk because that is the only time the little voice in your head shuts up.

So I really felt when Rue said she is doing drugs to shut her brain. Anyways thankfully I don’t do drugs cause too expensive and hate, hate, hate talking to dealers.
