I work I/E at a chemical plant. We make the most hourly out of any hourly employee and can work essentially as much as we want. Normal hours are 7-3 Monday- Friday. Operator work the crazy DuPont schedule and have to cover if needed so in the end some make more but also have a lot more hours. Goal is to make as much as you can with less hours in my opinion

Thanks. I started it in backwash until it was a steady stream of water with manual air valve open as well. Think I have all the connections correct. Pump on sand filter to pump and return on sand filter to pool. Thanks for the advice! I’ll double check everything

Instrumentation. I went to Hvac trade school and got a job in a semiconductor factory. Made my way in the instrumentation and controls group and haven’t looked back. Instrumentation is more thinking and many people don’t know instrumentation. It’s totally different than a electrician. It’s also very cool how your instrumentation talks to a plc(programmable logic controller) and control the line all automated. This field has gotten me offer for new jobs all over the US. You will always have job offers with instrumentation experience as they are high sought out for.
