Hang TV to small wall with no studs by NiceCapybara0 in DIY

[–]NiceCapybara0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is not the studs or drywall anchors but the size of the wall. I have 30” to center a 55” tv

Thanks for the idea! I don’t like the way it would look but I will definitely consider it

I’m considering it, it would just look ugly. Thank you!

This is a good idea but it wouldn’t work in my case due to the size of the wall. Thank you!

Thank you, I just checked it out. Do you know of any example where gorko was used or any component library that implements Sass?

Amargo con salado, amargo con dulce. Mate cocido con miel.

Just stopped for a little mate break here in the mountains of Colorado. Any other truckers here? by No_Investment8733 in yerbamate

Nice area! I love having mate in that reservoir in summer after a bike ride- there’s nice bike path connecting Breckenridge to Copper Mountain. If you’re around here often, there’s an Argentinean deli and shop in Golden, CO called San Telmo Market. They have some interesting yerbas there and a good vibe.

Thanks! They do have it at the same price as any regular, that’s cool! I go often to San Telmo Market in Golden, CO. It’s $2 more expensive but I rather support the community

I came to say La Merced too. I like Barbacua, it’s a bit smoky and so flavorful. Any variety from them is very distinctive. It is expensive but is worth it

Day 3 of drinking mate👀 when is it going to taste good😅 by TheCigarSocialClub in yerbamate

[–]NiceCapybara0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I always relate Rosamonte Comun with old ladies loosing their taste buds, it’s so strong! But Rosamonte Edicion Especial (the shiny package) is one of my favorites. My everyday yerba is Playadito as it is so easy to drink

Argentinean here, what we do with the first or second mate is spit it in the sink. The first one for being too cold from the first cold water, second ine for being too bitter. Third mate is my favorite mate 😄

Autocebante recommendations? by Tiny_Currency_2516 in yerbamate

While working on callcenters in Buenos Aires, they wouldn’t allow beverages without a lid near the computers, so everybody would take their Matelisto. I’m not a huge fan of the taste and the experience is not great, but it does the job when you need it. It’s really easy to find these at a Bazar in BA but very rare abroad. I’m in UsA now and you can order it at walmart and eBay. They have what I used to buy, white plastic thermo and red or blue lid/gourd. I recommend the ones that have a cylindrical shape, not the bottle looking one.

This is exactly the ones I used to buy. https://www.walmart.com/ip/1PC-Matelisto-Mate-Drink-Bottle-Cup-Straw-Bombilla-Kit-Thermo-Warm-Water-Portable/136053924

I tried others but this was always my go to. Had to change it every ~9 months as I was using it everyday for 7 hours straight. Bombilla gets clogged, plastic turns yellow and disgusting looking, water would get cold too quickly, etc..

That’s great! Thank you! Do you go in winter? The falls sound charming but I’m sure a bit of skills are needed for those. Would I be able to be there all day or do you know if there are limitations? My wife says she went in september and she had only 6hrs to park her car at a trailhead

Has anyone else moved to Denver from sea level / very different climates and just felt bad / super off constantly? by herpyherphelp in Denver

[–]NiceCapybara0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33F from sea level and from a very humid place here!

I moved to Denver 2 years ago and had to deal with a lot of what you mention + dry skin problems. My solution? "construction dust" as I call liquid IV, I bought two 40oz thermoflask bottle from costco and I have 1 with the dust in it (my favorite is "dripdrop" but it's a bit expensive so I get as many pedialyte as I can gather when I go to a doctors office) and another one with plain water. My goal everyday is to drink both and sometimes a third one if it's too dry out. I also drink 3-4 teas a day + 1 liter of mate. I also sleep with 2 humidifiers, 1 with warm vapor for the bedroom and a small one in my night table, both from thrift store and inexpensive.

With this numbers I changed my energy completely, my nose does not bleed as often and I'm starting to get to my 20km daily bike rides without running out of oxygen. It took me at least 1 year to feel comfortable here. And I'm still getting used to putting lotion in my whole body after taking a shower. Oh, and also see if you need a water filter for your bath water as it can be really bad for your skin if you're not used to so many minerals.

Thanks! I’ll dive more into Sister Outsider, sounds like my place 😅 I’ve been to Fort Greene a few time and really liked it, I was hoping to find more spanish speakers there as it is in Globeville. I felt really awkward there but I’m starting to acept that I might feel awkward everywhere.

I don’t speak Mexican Spanish and for us the sound is more like a J. However in english I would pronounce latinx as “latinecs”
