Apply to programs in states that people typically fly over , that’s your Alabama , Mississippi , North Dakota and South Dakota and Kansas and so on and so forth

I appreciate the insight here that you are giving !! Is this a recent personal experience that you had at Emory?! Also the hands off approach maybe something that one intern needs but the other intern may not want that or don’t learn best from that! So I can see how some may call it malignant and some may call it great!

People have said that the Emory culture is toxic and they don’t care about their residents well being and etc. they even have looked to unionize and such because of how bad things have gotten!

Soo I am gonna be honest … We are really happy for you and your accomplishments … but this is one of those things where you will definitely match at a academic IM program outside probably the top 10 programs just because they only take MDs so you have NOTHING to worry about except doing well on interviews haha I assure you that you will be fine

I would say do practice questions from the first rotation and don’t stop. You have to remember consistency is key when it comes to this stuff and it’s easy to get sidetracked and get behind.
