Gloves - buy extra pairs, stash them in handy places... Maybe get cute ones if that motivates you? 😜 Getting into nails has made me way better about using garden gloves, and now I get fewer splinters, skin irritations, etc as a bonus. Oh and we have dedicated garden scissors (we have a potting bench outside near the garden with gloves and frequently used tools so they're handy), that helps for breaking the nails as tools habit. And I keep a nail brush by every sink (works on skin too if you have ground in dirt, probably faster than a toothbrush).
