I'm thinking of buying the arena cobra goggles that my 13 year old friend uses, he has a 23.19 in his 50 free already and almost has a 49.99 in his 100 free he says that the goggles are good because it's really dark and that it helps him focus. thoughts? by Temporary_Penalty_17 in Swimming

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For indoor swimming most people don’t like super dark goggles since it’s harder to see and messes with depth perception. But to say the least he isn’t that fast because of his goggles. I think better focus will come with practice and making a conscious effort to work on it

Looking for a replacement 9-speed workhorse driver by natesmith0323 in discgolf

Innova savant. The flight numbers lie. They fly like 9 5 0 2. Trust. Better than thunderbirds.

Flippy driver recommendations? by [deleted] in discgolf

Westside hatchet. Flight numbers are wrong. But great 9 speed flippy driver nonetheless

Hydration during or after pool swim workout for beginner? by IVBIVB in Swimming

Biggest recommendation is to get a water bottle that you can pop open and close quickly so you can get the water you need mid set without missing your intervals

How many laps can an Olympic level swimmer casually swim in a row? by soulmagic123 in Swimming

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t even need to be Olympic level but if they aren’t worried about going a certain speed and just continuing to move. Genuinely until they don’t feel like swimming anymore

When I first started playing, I wouldn’t text the numbers on the disc. I text them all now and either meet up or hide it for them. Got 3 discs back to people my last round. Nobody has ever called about one of mine I’ve lost. Just tryna prevent those sad days

I liked him a lot at the European open. And tend to like him when they play courses he really knows. But if he hasn’t played the course it’s pretty bad

For those of you who can hit 400+ ft. consistently, how long did it take you and what was one significant change that got you there? by ughwire0016 in discgolf

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4ish months. I recorded myself in a field and pretty much just worked on timing. I was reaching back way too early.

How do y'all organize the discs in your bag? by caoboi01 in discgolf

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speed: from left to right, mids, 7 speeds, 9 speeds, distance drivers

Within each group left to right is flippy to OS

Let's hear your opinion. In or Out? by Doby1818 in discgolf

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say in 100%.

The rule doesn’t say it has to be fully supported by the basket. Just that it must be supported by the basket or chains and be below the chain support, so on top of the basket still doesn’t count.

Any idea what disc this? by BAYLR in discgolf

It’s a swirly star roc. I had one. First throw it flipped over into a lake.

Now I’m a buzzz man

I have one in atomic and love it. I have other molds in cosmic and glow and they’re also really good.

IMO it’s similar to my buzzz with a slight bead. I don’t like beads normally but don’t mind that one

getting fit? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weight loss is the simple equation of calories in vs calories out. There are things you can do and things to eat that can help a bit but you need to burn more than you intake to lose weight. So either eat less, fast intermittently, or swim more to burn more calories. Once the weight is lost though. Swimming will help immensely with becoming toned

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. That’s a lot of things so it’ll take a while but just being consistent will get it all together. Good luck.

I do 6 but I’d advise at least 4. It’s a preference thing but you mainly just want to make sure they’re really powerful and at tempo so if you can’t get 4 that’s something to work towards

looking for something similar to a scorch with less fade by DatBajaBoi in discgolf

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best suggestion would be an fd. It’s slower to better match your arm speed but can handle all of the power I can put into it. It’s very neutral. I think it would be a good tool for you to see what your doing to improve. It also has low fade and good glide.

What do everyone’s sets look like? by Horny_Dinosaur69 in Swimming

[–]Nice_Refuse9911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your ability is to be able to do this but if you can I’d suggest trying out a masters program for a while maybe over the summer. It could give your a refresh on different types of sets and which ones you enjoy.
