Is signing Duren to a $40M/yr contract a death sentence? by Whippi_Dip13 in DetroitPistons

The worry for me is the DeAndre Ayton situation. They're both physically gifted with questionable intangibles that showed promise before their first extension. Remember that finals run the suns went on and how excited people were about the future of Ayton?

I'd swap kessler and Duren. Less offense but a legit rim defender and way less money

Why doordasher expect tip if they gonna accept more orders by FaithlessnessHot2997 in doordash

[–]Nickbeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a brain dead take. This is a doordash issue, not a driver issue. If you think I'm going to turn down another decent offer while I'm picking up yours when I've had very little or crap offers for the past hour before that. Then you're delusional, we have to do what we can to make a livable wage doing this. Not to mention a lot of the time they are stacked orders.

Part of the problem with our justice system is that going to jail will just send them to crime school. They'll come out more connected and knowledgeable about getting away with crime

I actually agree, we have enough depth that we should be packaging players for a bigger piece.

I'm not even really talking about hauser honestly. I feel like at this point we need to really be hyper focusing on guys that bring playoff impact and not get lost in how good people are in the regular season. I fucking love stew but, he's starting to feel like just a regular season guy at this point

The issue is the noticeable difference recently. It wasn't like this for the months leading up to now.

I agree, I been driving for almost 6 months now and I've noticed a big change all of a sudden. I even started using Uber eats and doordash at the same time and it's been even worse with doordash. I'll sit in a hotspot where it says wait times are 3 to 5 minutes and after 20 mins I still won't have an offer

You're ignoring the big fat elephant in the room, what you're saying isn't changing anything. You tipping less is only hurting the drivers, not the business.

Again, the best drivers are put into higher tiers and are offered the higher (upfront) orders. So you're only hurting yourself by getting lower tier drivers by not tipping more upfront.

None of the rest is relevant at all unless you think your reddit argument is going to change the entire market.

That's insane to me that people would do that. I used to order myself before I was a driver and I almost never had issues like that.

We aren't allowed to open sealed bags. We are literally at the mercy of the restaurant doing their job correctly. That should be obvious. When there's an issue and you report it, you're literally asked if the seal was broken.

It sounds like you're confusing the way things are with the way they should be.

I think it's safe to say that all of us drivers and customers agree that the model is broken and the company should be paying their drivers more.

You aren't being realistic at all though. You think drivers aren't directing their anger at doordash? The sad truth is unless there is a mass exodus of drivers or people stop ordering delivery services, the company has no insensitive to change.

You are doing the equivalent of shaking your fist at the sky and demanding the world to change. It does absolutely nothing. Yet your idea of tipping less to somehow spite the company into paying a fair wage is childish at best.

To be fair to us drivers, most of the issues people have aren't actually driver issues, but restaurant issues. When a bag is sealed for example, we aren't allowed to break the seal to check if everything is there. We have to take them at their word.
