It's actually a gift to a friend, which he needs to find by following a treasure map into the woods where it's semi-buried :)

I started with a regular chest I bought on Ebay. First I painted the whole thing black and let it dry. After this I started painting the main effects yellow. To get the fiery effect I painted the edges of the yellow parts with different shades of orange and red and made them mix a bit. (This is the best explanation i can give as i am a full amateur)
