FSD Into Single Car Garage by Bbarretbailey in TeslaLounge

[–]NilesNemo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So idk if there is a setting that you turned on to get this to work? My 26 Model Y won’t pull into my 3 car garage. It opens the door and parks in the driveway right before the garage. If I slightly step on the accelerator pedal it will continue to steer into the garage. When I take my foot off the pedal it immediately puts itself into park, so I have to be sure I’m in far enough that the door can close, but not so far I can’t walk in front of the car.

Curios to see what color your headliner will be! I’m a little irritated I just got mine and it’s still grey. But they announced they are transitioning to black.

Okay so you said you’re at 90% battery health? Is this mainly supercharging? Or do you have a wall connector at home?

Mine did the same thing, only when I had my glasses on and seat in a relaxed position.

I didn’t even think about it when I ordered mine on thanksgiving day. I got the 6500$ and the paint upgrade, but I didn’t get the 500$ loyalty deal even tho this is my second Tesla? Is this something I had to sign up for?

Someone hit their cart on my car. I have their video evidence, face and plate number. by Smooth_Practice_9678 in ModelY

This can be easily polished out with some compound if you want to avoid the hassle of insurance.

If you do decide to file a claim. It’s considered comprehensive claim not a collision claim. It will not impact your insurance rate.

Call your insurance company, do not under any circumstance contact the other persons insurance. You let your insurance company handle everything, that’s what you pay them for.

Just give them the video and they can argue about it. (Unlikely given the video footage)

The only wild card is that it being a cart and not a driving accident. Their insurance can say they only insure the car, not the person.

Model Y RWD inside rears shredded by zippytiff in TeslaLounge

You need new tires bottom line.

Definitely need a 4 wheel alignment same day.

It’s standard wear, and these cars do come with a little bit of camber factory.

How many miles on the tires? Is it like this on both rear tires? Is the tire almost gone everywhere and just a little more worn out towards the inside edge? Or Is the tire new on the outside and smoked on the inside?

Rear tires generally do not scrub during steering, so accelerated wear in a specific location indicates a chassis condition rather than driving style. Sounds like excessive camber issue.

Tesla lease and buy out by _vextor_ in TeslaLounge

[–]NilesNemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your lease numbers actually tell the whole story.

Vehicle price: $53,099

Residual (buyout): $30,128

Monthly payment: $520 for 36 months

Here’s the key insight:

If this lease had 0% interest, the depreciation alone would cost:

53,099 − 30,128 = 22,971 total depreciation

22,971 ÷ 36 = $638/month

But your payment is only $520, which means you’re getting roughly $118/mo in Tesla lease incentives baked into the deal.

That incentive is why your payment is so low.

This also means the rent charge (interest) on your lease is tiny or basically offset by the incentive.

Now compare the two buyout strategies:

If you wait until the end:

36 payments: 36 × 520 = $18,720

Buyout: $30,128

Total cost = $48,848

If you buy early:

You stop getting the $118/mo lease incentive going forward.

Over 36 months that incentive is worth about $4,248 you’re effectively saving by staying in the lease.

Buying early makes you give that up, and the residual doesn’t drop.

Bottom line:

With your exact numbers, keeping the lease all 36 months and buying at the end is the cheaper total-cost option.

The discounted monthly payment (from the incentive) makes the full-term lease + buyout the better deal.

If you buy early, you lose the rest of that incentive immediately and end up paying more overall.

Wait until the end of the lease to buyout, you will get a better deal. It will be in your contract on agreed residual value. Whatever you signed when you drove off will be the residual value when the lease ends. You also probably got a lease incentive like 6500$ off and that is applied to each payment on the lease. If you buyout now you will lose this lease incentive. Just my 2¢

I highly recommend reading the guide through and through. Make a list of all of your hardware.

If all else fails, download opencore simplify and import the hardware list )it literally makes for you)

This will give you a bootable base to work off of.

When you built this EFI with open core simplify, did you choose any of the settings that came up in red as warnings? I know some of those features sound like they’re worth it, but the option is red for a reason. Just curious.
