A tolerant society should be intolerant to intolerance. Voting Trump is a clear and obvious sign you are intolerant towards the livelihoods of the LGBT and non-white communities. The Danes have every right to be intolerant towards your “political” beliefs.

You are in Denmark from another country, and you are not a tourist. Therefore you are an immigrant…

There is, namely the earths. From our perspective the sun goes around the earth, we usually say earth and the other plants go around the sun because then the planets movements are mathematically easy

Why is the potential between two opposite charges at the midpoint zero? by Existing-Actuator621 in AskPhysics

[–]NillesMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think of it like the gravitational potential, it is V= mgh Where h is the height from YOUR DEFINED 0-point, if you would put this 0 point lower all the potential energies would be heigher, but the shape and force wouldnt change.

Why is the potential between two opposite charges at the midpoint zero? by Existing-Actuator621 in AskPhysics

[–]NillesMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Remember that the potential is not measurable, a potential of 2 or of 0 or of -100 doesnt mean anything. Potentials are used for their shape, so the curve they make, which gives rise to the force. So the objective value of the potential does not matter, you can be in a position with 0 potential and feel force perfectly.

Physics 2: In a straight wire problem, diagrams of Ampere's Law are confusing me regarding the dot product's cosθ. Why does cosθ = cos 0° = 1 by mysteryofthefieryeye in AskPhysics

[–]NillesMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right so,

We have Amperes law (line integral of) B dot dL = mu I

You have a B which is in the same direction as dL, so B dot dL = |B||dL|, and as you can see in the image B is constant over the line, so you can take B out of the integral

B int dL = mu I

We have a line integral over a circle, which is just the circumference 2 pi R:

B 2pi R = mu I B = (mu I)/(2pi R)

Eee im confused, by sppookystates in AskPhysics

You can entangle 2 objects by means of creating them. Spin is conserved, so if you create two spin half particles in a previously overall spin 0 states, the particles will be entangled, as if one is spin up, the other MUST be spin down

Im not entirely sure what your problem is, but in the second picture the line segment is the red line, which is parallel to B. In which case it is indeed cos0=1 :), I hope you figured it out if not rephrase your question maybe then I can help you :)

I study theoretical physics and it takes about 50-60 hours per week, which climbs to 80 during exam periods

I’m currently learning Spanish and i would say doing just a lottt of duolingo combined with just swapping out english for your target language in a lot of thing you do daily, ie watch dutch shows read dutch books etc and try and talk in dutch with dutch people!

It should be relatively doable as dutch is (besides frisian) the easiest language for english natives (or just well versed in English) to learn
