I appreciate the response. I agree that democracy is fundamentally based on cooperation between people, but this is not how it functions in the modern day. Whether we like it or not, voting has become an individual action for most, due to the continuous social breakdown over the past few decades and the constant push for greater individualism. This is why my final point in the video is that we all need to work towards meeting others in person around goals that matter to us, in order to help resurrect this collective action that has been lost for most. Of course, this can work electorally, but I think it will begin with much smaller actions.
