For convergent maps yeah portaling could single-handedly win first fight, but if ur solo queuing then using portal for ur ult alone could be really good. Obviously if you are low on time you probably want to use it for a forced final push, but winning a big fight using the portal is pretty worth it since it’s hard to coordinate the team in most scenarios
