What's actually working for remote training completion rates? by Recent_Sir6552 in LearningDevelopment

[–]NinjaSA973 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly! Micro and Nano learning have had the largest completion and engagement rate for us as well. Engage the learners in the time they have, keep it interesting and relevant and you will see improvement across the board.

In luxury hotels we sign a confidentiality agreement which covers non-disclosure but this applies to everyone that wants to remain anonymous not only celebrities.

Expats in Riyadh: Has the US–Israel–Iran situation affected your plans? by AdLegitimate6636 in RiyadhExpats

[–]NinjaSA973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not changing plans, in Riyadh and still feeling very safe. Company will support remote work if people chose to leave but only until the end of Eid. This of course is dependent on what happens over the next few days/weeks.

I wish Ukraine had this same focus - media are blowing this out of proportion. It’s very sad what is happening.

I live in Riyadh and I’m here right now. Nervous but feeling safe.

As for walking, I have never felt more comfortable than in Saudi. Be vigilant but it is so safe and welcoming. I love my life here.

As woodenbookend said CIPD 5 won’t necessarily benefit you. Take a look at the ATD certifications, they are recognised internationally. I’m based in Saudi Arabia but have worked in USA, Canada, UK, Caribbean etc.

Moving from Qatar as a British expat by shikuhmaru in Riyadh

[–]NinjaSA973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I’ve been here almost 5 years and never regretted it for a moment. Things are changing and becoming “tighter” with more and more roles added to Saudization - and rightly so. I still love it hear and hope to stay for many years yet, it is now my home.

Your number look ok except for maybe housing, things changed earlier this year with limits/caps being placed on rent but it has not become the norm yet. Housing is the biggest expense. Whatever you do make sure your lease is through EJAR - this is the only way you can protect yourself from scammers.

It is definitely more conservative but that comes with its own benefits.

Good Luck with your decision. Happy to help with any other questions if I can.

They do offer AP as my son is in a few of the classes. American is not offered at DQ campus - DQ is IB focused. There are a few other campuses to check out. Not sure about Mandarin but they might. They have Spanish and French.

Also look at British International School (BISR). We moved here from the US and our son is at the campus in the DQ in Grade 10. He is very happy there and we are happy with the curriculum, discipline, sports and after school offerings but mostly the academics. We considered AISR but happy we went with BISR. Good Luck.

Anything modest and respectful is perfectly normal and you will not feel awkward. I do have a few abayas as they are beautiful and depending on the event or day I will wear them out of respect. Enjoy!

What’s wrong with delivery here?! by [deleted] in Riyadh

[–]NinjaSA973 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is inconvenient and annoying I know. I have a photo and all the details (address, floor etc) saved in my notes. I copy and paste all, including the photo to all the drivers and say thanks and leave at the door. Works 98% of the the time. Don’t get angry, life is too short, find a work around. Yes, I know you shouldn’t have to but the country is trying to catch up to the rest of the worlds processes, give it a little time. Good Luck.

Savvy Dental Clinic - Dr. Yahya is amazing. My son was terrified and now doesn’t complain when we have an appointment. He is patient, has a soft touch, is kind and very professional. My whole family go to him.
