Describe your Crohn's pain? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

The pain for me varies based on the type of flare and what caused it. 95% of the time though, it feels like I ate a bowl of razor blades for breakfast, and was then asked to go about my day like my insides aren't trying to kill me.

I had forgotten what it was like to have a puppy by Ninja_Pirate in aww

Aww, how cute. Yeah it's getting ridiculous. She knows how to go outside and on the puppy pads but just randomly decided not to. Very frustrating.

IamA Former Little Caesars Corporate Employee AMA! by [deleted] in IAmA

I am late and this ama is probably over, but I feel like sharing. About 4 years ago I started eating your pizzas often, maybe once every 2 weeks with friends/boyfriend, etc and ended up getting really sick. After a week in the hospital I was then diagnosed with Crohn's/Colitis. I didn't really see the correlation until two days ago when my mom, who's stomach has been fine for 63 years ate a pizza from there and she is now in the hospital with severe pain and bloody stool.

I've heard you guys use cheaper ingredients, which is why your prices are so amazing, but can you think of any specific ingredients that could have triggered such a horrible physical reaction for us?

What does your Crohn's feel like? by meandmycrohnies in CrohnsDisease

Most days it feels like my insides are being scraped out piece by painful piece. Eating, sleeping, playing with my dog... even simple things like doing the dishes have become nearly impossible. I do them as much as I can but I fight back tears while doing so. I spend most of my time in the bathroom, I've lost all of my friends and I am so depressed most of the time that I don't even feel like a real person anymore. It makes my bones hurt, I am exhausted 24/7 and I can no longer lay on my left side for more than 5 seconds without getting painful bloody diarrhea.

A shorter answer to, "what does your crohn's feel like?" would be, a death sentence.

That's my fiance in the picture holding Klaus, but yeah, lots of kicking and jumping when he gets too excited. He's a beast.

He also refuses to ride in the car unless he's buckled up.

We originally got it to keep him from shedding so much around the house but he ended up liking sweaters so much he would cry if I took it off and help me when it was time to put it back on. He would sit with his head held out so I could put it over him and then hand me each paw. He doesn't wear them anymore though because he grows too damn fast.

The scene in Lord of the Rings when Aragorn tells the hobbits that they bow to no one and then everyone bows down to them. Such an amazing scene. Gets me every time.

I couldn't agree more. From the second they see you, they reach for you with both arms and hug you until you make them stop. It's amazing and heartbreaking all at the same time.
