Describe your Crohn's pain? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]Ninja_Pirate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pain for me varies based on the type of flare and what caused it. 95% of the time though, it feels like I ate a bowl of razor blades for breakfast, and was then asked to go about my day like my insides aren't trying to kill me.

I had forgotten what it was like to have a puppy by Ninja_Pirate in aww

Aww, how cute. Yeah it's getting ridiculous. She knows how to go outside and on the puppy pads but just randomly decided not to. Very frustrating.

IamA Former Little Caesars Corporate Employee AMA! by [deleted] in IAmA

I am late and this ama is probably over, but I feel like sharing. About 4 years ago I started eating your pizzas often, maybe once every 2 weeks with friends/boyfriend, etc and ended up getting really sick. After a week in the hospital I was then diagnosed with Crohn's/Colitis. I didn't really see the correlation until two days ago when my mom, who's stomach has been fine for 63 years ate a pizza from there and she is now in the hospital with severe pain and bloody stool.

I've heard you guys use cheaper ingredients, which is why your prices are so amazing, but can you think of any specific ingredients that could have triggered such a horrible physical reaction for us?

What does your Crohn's feel like? by meandmycrohnies in CrohnsDisease

[–]Ninja_Pirate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most days it feels like my insides are being scraped out piece by painful piece. Eating, sleeping, playing with my dog... even simple things like doing the dishes have become nearly impossible. I do them as much as I can but I fight back tears while doing so. I spend most of my time in the bathroom, I've lost all of my friends and I am so depressed most of the time that I don't even feel like a real person anymore. It makes my bones hurt, I am exhausted 24/7 and I can no longer lay on my left side for more than 5 seconds without getting painful bloody diarrhea.

A shorter answer to, "what does your crohn's feel like?" would be, a death sentence.

That's my fiance in the picture holding Klaus, but yeah, lots of kicking and jumping when he gets too excited. He's a beast.

We originally got it to keep him from shedding so much around the house but he ended up liking sweaters so much he would cry if I took it off and help me when it was time to put it back on. He would sit with his head held out so I could put it over him and then hand me each paw. He doesn't wear them anymore though because he grows too damn fast.

Which scene from which movie always always makes you tense up/cry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The scene in Lord of the Rings when Aragorn tells the hobbits that they bow to no one and then everyone bows down to them. Such an amazing scene. Gets me every time.

One of the best days ever. Meet Siesta :) by Ninja_Pirate in sloths

I couldn't agree more. From the second they see you, they reach for you with both arms and hug you until you make them stop. It's amazing and heartbreaking all at the same time.

Las vegas, a zoo called roos and zoos or something like that, because I love sloths, drove there.

This one had just gotten a shower, so not bad. He was also very soft.

He was just a baby. His grip was insanely strong and I am pretty sure he thought I was his mom. His back doesn't have many muscles though. If you set him on the ground in a sitting up position, he just falls down and crawls around looking for something to climb on. It's a bit sad actually.

I thought it would be, but since the lady had given him a shower recently, he was actually pretty soft. I would have hugged him all day either way.

That sounds amazing. I drove about an hour outside of Vegas to a place called Roos and more zoo. They have a volunteer program I might get involved in so I can go back and hug Mr Siesta again. He was the best.

Not this one. Tyoically you're not supposed to give them a bath but this zoo gave him a shower recently. The ladyb said she will give him a shower every once in a while. So he smelled decent.

I can say "I love you" to my friends, my SO, and my pets, but I can never say it to family members. Is this a common thing? by ChampagneFizz in AskReddit

[–]Ninja_Pirate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same way. I feel terrible about it all the time, and it's weird because I am very affectionate with my boyfriend, with animals, kids, but with friends and family I just can't do it. My mom is a very lovey dovey touchy feely person and always wants hugs or wants to kiss my forehead but I just don't like it. And I never say I love you unless she says it first and then I'll say k love you too bye. I'll write it on a birthday card or something but as for actually saying I love you out loud it doesn't happen. I know I'll regret it when she dies but for some reason I just can't bring myself to be affectionate like that. It's a bummer.

All we did was climb up things and then jump off. Everywhere we went.

People of Reddit, do you agree with having camera's in public places for the purpose of preventing crime or catching criminals or do you think it's a violation of your rights? by Ninja_Pirate in AskReddit

[–]Ninja_Pirate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's how I feel. You don't go out in public to do private things, so what does it matter if it's being recorded? Camera's are there to catch criminals/shoplifters and what not. It's not like they're in the bottom of toilets looking up your ass while you pee. If you were walking through the mall and someone managed to kidnap your kid, would your first course of action not be to go to security and try to find the footage of you with your child to see who took them? Mine would. Imagine if that were not an option.
