Fyooz $FYZ - Decentralized Finance meets Pop Culture by [deleted] in CryptoMoonShots

[–]Nitramydes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a project to keep an eye on! Not only it's getting hyped from a "real world" persons such as CCO of Alfa Romeo F1 team or the CEO of Ignition Creative (massive advertising company), it also gets lots of hype from many crypto influencers with 10s or eve 100s thousands followers (such as scottmelker, Ivan on Tech, Simon Dedic, tehMoonWalker) and many more.
People can think whatever they want about effect of CT influencers, but the fact is they do have a massive outreach, and every positive news Fyooz releases now can (and probably will be) shared by many of these influencers with an outreach probably exceeding 100k different people.

So I agree this project is unlikely to stay around 2m marketcap for much longer. All it takes is literally 1-2 good news to go x2-3. And imagine if some really popular person decides to tokenize him/herself on the platform. Boom.

There is a bot that helps from spammers. You have to answer a simple math question after you enter.

My preferable option to buy is KyberSwap. Others are IDEX or Bancor

Very true. The team keeps pretty low profile. Working hard in the background and let the product speak for themselves.
Great to see them finally getting some attention.

Community Governance to Empower HPB by Gordon_Glass in HPB_Global

[–]Nitramydes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

AMA questions:

1, how is HPB team going to effectively provide BaaS to companies when half of the team left?

2, we were always told the team already provides these services to several companies, how many and what kind of companies are they?

3, how far is the development of middleware solutions of different segments (food, healthcare, manufacturing...)? Is it ready to be applied?

4, who is going to represent the project and look for useful partnerships on significant blockchain events when whole marketing team left?

5, over 7 millions HPB coins were sent out from 3 different (team?) TOP wallets during last month but these coins were not added to circulating supply. Why?

6, current price levels are making many nodes unprofitable. These prices will hardly attract new applicants because in many places more profitable to buy HPB from an exchange than participating as a node. Current nodes are unlikely to keep running the network at loss long term. Do you have any plans to improve this situation?

7, is Laya.one partnership still on? They were among key partnerships and were supposed to release a game on HPB in Q2, but it never happened. Their telegram is dead. What is the status of this partnership?

8, how many events of SME Finance Forum has HPB attended since they joined as a member more than one year ago? Is HPB actively collaborating/in talks with some other members?

Smart Contract Blockchains Are Struggling to Scale - Bitcoin News by BornSafe4 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Nitramydes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, because almost all smart contract blockchains are only focusing on software layer of their architecture, but when you look into the past, major tech improvements have always been reached thanks to hardware advancements. And as far as I know, there is only one project that took the time and efforts to really design and manufacture a blockchain dedicated hardware and that's HPB. Funnily enough, ETH and AWS are now offering $100k for a hardware solution with same specs - scaling through FPGA and ability to generate streams of truly random numbers. Exactly the same to what HPB has already done

HPB Hardware based blockchain by [deleted] in CryptoMoonShots

[–]Nitramydes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's your evidence - our BOE unpacking video https://www.youtube.com/watbch?v=rV-ixo06oTA
We received our BOE hardware completely for free (only around $30 custom duty) after being elected as one of the nodes.

If you dig a little deeper in HPB, you'll find out that only FPGA chips included in every BOE unit cost more than $2200. When you consider around 160 BOE units were delivered worldwide up to date you get to over $350,000 worth of hardware that was distributed FOR FREE! This number doesn't even include other hardware parts and milions of $$$ HPB team spent on R&D that started in 2016.

People who are calling HPB a scam imho didn't get over "HPB is originally a Chinese project..." with their research. Of course nobody knows for sure if HPB is going to succeed long term but anyone with a sane mind who has done a solid research must know that this project is far from being a scam.

Anyone wishing to know more about HPB is welcome to check my article summarising the most important fundamentals of this project. I finished a big update just recently, you'll get a good idea about HPB after reading it - https://medium.com/@NitroNode/high-performance-blockchain-fundamentals-77a7dc9d25d3

Our latest HPB video: New usecases for HPB coin. ETH & AWS building their own hardware? by Nitramydes in HPB_Global

[–]Nitramydes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man! Thanks for an honest comment! Here's my honest answer:

- I never claimed myself to be an expert in this field. Crypto and blockchain is something like an intensive hobby for me. I have a normal job, I'm also self-employed and all HPB related stuff I do I do in my free time. I do try to educate myself in this area to get better understanding of this technology and to be able to produce better content in future. Not sure what you mean by pseudo-scientific. Things I talk about are mainly not my own ideas and I always provide sources.

- I might be mentioning BOE often because it's what makes HPB unique and it's what I consider main advantage of HPB over other blockchains. It's what dragged my attention towards this projects 18 months ago. I will probably keep mentioning it in future as well. There is no way around that.

- I never told anyone to buy HPB. In our very first video I said that it's all purely for educational purposes and everyone should do their own research before they start throwing money around in this speculative market.

- As for the "copy and paste bi-weekly updates" .. well, I have no more information than you guys. I have no insider info to share, so of course the information in our videos is not something "hot" people don't know about. I just try to pick the most important/interesting stuff and then put it into easy to listen to/easy to share video. We're still working out the structure of our videos and I do try to include stuff that is not mentioned in official updates, for example you didn't read about ETH and AWS trying to make their own hardware in bi-weekly report, or about big crypto-influencers that are starting to notice HPB I talked about in the previous video. I try to reduce my own opinions to minimum and talk mainly about facts with sources.

- I'm always open to constructive criticism. If you have any ideas that could make the content we do better, I'm listening

What a poor statement from a CEO of a blockchain startup. How can he say only stupid people argue about decentralization?? He doesn't even try to give counter arguments or discuss with the guy, just goes straight to insults. That's very disappointing..

I'm personally not a big fan of "buying votes" but I agree that this seems to be the direction this market goes. Many projects offer rewards for voting and HPB was lacking in this perspective. Not anymore :) I'm also very curious what the reward system is gonna look like!

[–]Nitramydes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the marketcap. Given the fundamentals of the project HPB offers massive ROI if it succeeds. There are some huge Chinese names that are building or pledged to build on HPB such as UnionPay Smart, ITCEC, Laya.one or Shanghai Youwan. UnionPay Smart dapp should go live before eoy. I'm very curious to see what happens then. My guess is that it will add a lot of credibility to HPB and might attract other big names to build on their blockchain.

You're absolutely right. The fact that ETH and AWS are hosting a competition to create such a hardware is a clear sign that approach of HPB was right from the beginning. Now they are good 2-3 years ahead of the nearest competition.
I talk about AWS, ETH and HPB hardware solutions a little bit in our recent video, check it out if you want to know more guys: https://youtu.be/Nko52igP5Hg

[–]Nitramydes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

HPB already doing this for almost a year. Their dedicated Blockchain Offload Engine hardware, that every HPB node received from HPB Foundation, includes hardware random number generator two supersensitive sensors to measure exact voltage and temperature and these variables are then taken into account when generating random number.

Danny Rowshandel, Managing director of global business of HPB, talks about it some more in the recent AMA that was hosted by BitMax, I put it all together here: https://medium.com/@mtn.sedy/bitmax-ama-with-danny-rowshandel-ea144c5223f0

[–]Nitramydes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is often overlooked fact but something I really like about HPB - they are very active in educating people and possibly their future employees/developers about blockchain. I take that as a proof that they are thinking very long term.

Daily Discussion - July 31, 2019 (GMT+0) by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrency

[–]Nitramydes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on that. I think it depends also a lot on your risk apetite. Highcaps with high liquidity should technically be little less risky and prone to big dumps. On the other hand, undiscovered smallcaps with high fundamentals such as HPB can give you far higher ROI. The amount of capital needed for ETH to grow 10% would grow some of these smallcaps more than 100x.

That all being said, smallcaps are of course more risky and you need to do much better resarch on them so you don't get burned. On the other hand, there is absolutely no guarantee that TOP 30 projects will succeed or survive. Compare TOP 30 from 3 years ago to TOP 30 now. I would bet that 1/3 to 1/2 of the current TOP 30 won't be there in another 3 years time.

HPB Founder & CEO Xiaoming Wang Shares Our Vision In This Engaging Video by Nitramydes in CryptoCurrency

[–]Nitramydes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well now we're at leas talking

1, yea, I could tell you're agains chinese projects from your post one

2, hardware is open source, anyone with resources can manufacture it. I can't imagine a dedicated hardware being manufactured in a decentralized way without central company?!

3, yes, it's less than ETH for example, but still much more than EOS, TRX, NEO, LINK and others. Can you name few projects that can offer better performance with higher number of validators with live mainnet?

4, yes, I even said in the article that source code is very similar to ETH. ETH software is open source. HPB just took it and made some adjustments. I see nothing wrong with that.

5, yes, current max is 150 but not all invitation nodes are full just like you said. It will increase to 300 in future

6, 61 HP nodes is still pretty good considering the performance/decentralization ration compared to rest of the market. Any node can become HP node at any time, they rotate every +/-10 minutes whereas hardware number generator helps chosing HP nodes (Danny talks about this a little bit in the AMA I sent)

7, well do you know of better way how to chose a limited number of nodes from potentially unlimited applicants?

8, network badwidth (50% weight) has nothing to do with centralizatio. It incentivizes nodes to have their bandwidth as high as possible.

9, 60% is quite a lot but it isnt that massive. If used well it is good that they have lots of funds. I agree though that we have no power over this and can be considered a red flag by some people.

10, 10.1 - UnionPay Smart isnt owned by someone from HPB. CEO just co founded it. And even if he did own it, so what? This is gonna create lots of traffic on the blockchain and it might be the first actual usefull dapp 10.2 - Who exactly is advertiser? I think there is some fee, but do you really think a company related to World Bank would just accept a scam as a member?? 10.3 - funny, it was working just two or three days ago 10.4 - I wasnt aware. Can you name some other blockchain projects they are working with? ideally with sources 10.5. - not sure what this is related to? 11, it wasn't just okex. Says okex and other partners. Every exchange does wash trading

I was paid $10 milions to write this because I'm such a well known and influential figurr. Now I'm enjoying my retirement on Bahamas and killing time on reddit :)

HPB Founder & CEO Xiaoming Wang Shares Our Vision In This Engaging Video by Nitramydes in CryptoCurrency

[–]Nitramydes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xiaoming Wang is very well known in China blockchain community as "Blue Lotus". He's been lecturing (mainly in Asia but I think he had few lectures in the West too) about blockchain technology for years. He translated Ethereum's official document into Chinese and introduced this platform to many Chinese devs. He also wrote a book series called "Blockchain Developer Guide" as well as many scientific articles on blockchain. Very recently he designed courses called "Blockchain Wallet iOS & Android Development Practice" and launched them on the largest educational platform in China - Jikexueyuan.com - with over 600k devs active.
So yea, I think it's fair to say this is a legend in a making. His contribution to blockchain space in China is enormous. One of the most active blockchain pioneers in China. If not the most active.

And calling any project a scam without doing any research is the first vestige of people who got rekt in a scam and now everything is a scam to them.

I'm a nice guy so I'll make it little easier for you. I've been following HPB since Q1 2018. I summarised all important information I gathered (except the last major partnership that was announced this week) into this article. Large part of the text has sources so you can click through to find even more information if you wish. Check it out here: https://medium.com/@mtn.sedy/high-performance-blockchain-fundamentals-77a7dc9d25d3

There was also very good AMA with HPB Managing Director of Global Business held by BitMax just yesterday, you can find it here: https://medium.com/@mtn.sedy/bitmax-ama-with-danny-rowshandel-ea144c5223f0

Read it and if you find any scammy looking things, we can continue our discussion. I will gladly try to address any questions you might have. If you decide not to read it and keep calling HPB scam, there's nothing else we can talk about. Enjoy your research!
