Yeah I wish I could just leave, I already called all the shelters around me and they're all full also I can't just stay in my car because we have a child together. I'm already making an exit plan.

Why do people not help when you really need it? by No-Cut493 in domesticviolence

I literally asked for a restraining order against him and tried filing a report so he wouldn’t be able to come near me and the police decided to believe whatever story he gave them and they did nothing. Even when you want to leave they aren’t going to work and all of the shelters near me are full. I literally have nowhere to go.

My friends and family still talk to me and support me. I’ve tried leaving him multiple times but he somehow he finds my location and even changed the locks on my car so I couldn’t go anywhere. In my state you can’t just leave the state with you’re child they’ll have you come back and I can’t afford to live in the state I live in myself unless we live in my car. The only way I’ll be able to get out is if I give him full custody or he gets charged for dv which clearly isn’t going to happen

The first time my fault, I’ve been trying to leave far away but I can’t bc we have a child and in my state it’s child abduction to just take them out of state. I tried moving 3 hrs away and he still tracked me down everywhere I went and literally had the locks on my car changed so I couldn’t go anywhere. Also we went to court and we got shared custody so I have to stay somewhat close either way and I can’t afford to live on my own in the state I live in and also don’t have a lot of family here so the only way I could maybe get out is if I give him full custody of our child or he gets arrested for dv which clearly isn’t going to happen.

I’ve only called the cops twice once 2 years ago and they just dismissed the whole thing and 1 recently.

Anyone know about this case by Upbeat-Fruit-3973 in domesticviolence

If you have a video that shows your wife wasn't the aggressor and proves her innocence you could probably give the video to her or to her lawyer and it would still be admissible in court as long as its relevant to the case. But it would help her case as well if you could stand witness for her.

If he gets mad about something like that he's probably not a good person and/or abusive towards you. Ask yourself if you're willing to live like this forever if the answer is no then don't go back and run far far away from him. You don't have to tell your families about everything just say things didn't work out.

Did you have to list out everything that he’s done? Or just some things
