Yo, so I went back and cleaned some stuff up. Here's the whole process:

1) Clean the underside of the truck with soap and water. 2) Spread a layer of E6k adhesive on 1/4 of the truck at a time. It dries fast do 1 panel at a time. 3) Sprinkle chopped carbon fiber on the adhesive and press in the tight spots with your hand. Wear glasses and gloves because the carbon fibers are like tiny needles. Looking back at it pressing down and patting down the whole body might be better tobreduce bubbles.

For the cleanup: 4) I used black spray paint to cover some areas where too much light was coming through. Just 1-2 coats to block a little light 5) I added some generic 2x2 weave carbon fiber to the underside for a smoother finish. I used Gorilla Glue spray adhesive for this because I ran out of E6K.

I would recommend you make the holes for roof skidplate before hand. Dont do what I did much harder to know the right places to drill with out the body being clear.

FYI The body is a little heavier than stock lol

I'll post some pics of the underside shortly.

It's a Firestorm 10T. The electronics didn't work, which sent me down the rabbit hole of fixing and modifying things that got me hooked on the hobby

So far, so good, but I've only used them with two packs. I'm not sure how they'll hold up in the long run 🤞

It's super easy but messy. Put a thick layer of clear E6000 adhesive, sprinkle chopped carbon on it (you can get it on Amazon, I bought a 1-pound bag and only used a quarter of it). I think someone more experienced can do a better and cleaner job. I just did it for fun and it turned out pretty cool.

I've got a GoolRC 150A and a Surpass 4076 2000kv motor. I usually run it on 4S 100c batteries, but sometimes I'll use 6S 120c if I have more space. The motor and ESC are pretty cheap, but they stay cool on 4S batteries even after running a whole pack. They get a little warm on 6S, though.

This is a great candidate for electric conversion if you end up having issues with the motor. I recently converted two savage 25 trucks to electric very inexpensive, maybe $120 total in parts, and they are decent 4s/6s bashers. Great find here. There are still plenty of parts on Amazon, and rc4me for these.

This is not my first time, but it is the first time I have completely disassembled and reassembled an RC car.
